Sorare Pro Game Week 70

Another almost full fixture game week. We have another collectors event so if you have a collection of cards of a specific Bundesliga team you have an interesting choice of what to enter. Personally I don't have any Bundesliga team where I have more than 4 or more cards who will play so I'm unlikely to enter that but it might be different for some of you.

This game weeks specials are

• Bundseliga Collectors Event (Classic) - Choose a Bundesliga team you have a collection from and submit a lineup of a minimum of 4 players from that club plus one other Bundesliga Club. 1 Lineup Allowed for EACH Bundesliga Club
• Ultra Attacking (Classic) - 1 keeper, 3 Defenders and 1 Midfielder from any league and any season. 2 Lineups Allowed
• All Star (In-Season/Classic) - Any Card from Any Season. 2 Lineups Allowed

In regular tournaments we have

• Premier League (In-Season/Classic)
• Bundesliga (In-Season/Classic)
• La Liga (In-Season/Classic)
• MLS (In-Season/Classic)
• Champion (In-Season/Classic)
• Challenger (In-Season/Classic)
• Contender(In-Season/Classic)

With a limited number of games outside of European Cup Comps its another where we are all limited on options (Some more than others)

Remember also it will be the last week of Rivals. You need to do at least one entry and the 1 entry in the replacement to be eligible for the Special Rivals prizes.

I was saving my tickets for the last week when I thought we would have the chance to win more in-game rewards but as its not and it doesn't matter how many times we enter a match I tried using them all this Game Week to try and help us win. However I haven't won a match since Saturday and I think I've done more harm than good lol

This game weeks specials are

• European Nights (In-Season/Classic) - Any card playing win the Champions League or Europa League. If In-Season 4 cards must be in-season. 3 Lineups Allowed (In Each)
• Conference Nights(In-Season/Classic) - Any card playing in the Conference League. In-Season must use 4 in-season cards. 3 Lineups Allowed (In Each)
• All-Star (Classic) - Any card from Any season.2 Lineups Allowed

I got 20 essence from my Rivals box. So thats 122 in total. Have another 38 coming later today along with a t3 card and $13 in cash (Plus 1 box and 1000 in XP to spend)

I am trying to decide if to cash my essence in for the reason @Robert Molenaar has mentioned. This is my chances right now (will differ slightly when the payout happens later today)



I certainly wouldn't want a Champion or Challenger seeing as at most we have a month of in-season utility. My MLS should be over 10% later today and Contender obviously includes K-League, J-League and the South/Central American leagues which would all be good additions BUT as Neutral is my biggest percentage that again could be anything.

This is why since they have announced the in-season/classic split with my former Game Dev hat on I have always said they made a mistake in how they did they split, it devalues rewards and discourages buying new cards as the season goes on. The sensible approach that I suspect if they had anyone on staff with a Game Dev background on staff would have pushed for 'In-Season' to be Current Season + Last Season as then at all times cards in the reward, Crafting and Auction/Instabuy pools would always have atleast 1 season of utility.

Mind you I also suspect that if they had a Game Dev on staff they would have set it up like the following.

• 3 Card Ages. Current, Classic and Veteran
  • Current is the Current Season plus Last Season
    • This keeps people wanting to buy cards as you can't win with a lineup of cards that are 5 seasons old while keeping rewards useful for atleast a season plus reduces the need for them to stimulate the market later in the season as we have seen them do alot because people will still be happy buying cards as the game weeks go on
    • Like now you could play ONE Classic or Veteran Card in a Current Lineup
  • Classic are cards that are 3-5 (or maybe 6) seasons old
    • Part of the reason for the split was how many cards could enter a competition each game week. You could have 10 seasons worth of Mbappes eligible. And while the split has helped that at In-Season level now that issue still exists in Current Classic. Making it a comp just for cards that are between 3 and 5/6 seasons back helps Classic be a better tournament as well
    • Along with that though you would need stricter entry rules
      • You can only play ONE Current Card down a level
      • You can only play ONE Current Card up a to this level
  • Veteran are any card older than that
    • Players retiring or dropping to lower leagues that Arne't covered would automatically control the numbers on this level. The majority of players will have a career where they have at most 10-15 years at a level thats covered and as they get older they are likely to be more bit part players anyway
    • You would also need stricter entry rules. I would probally do
      • You can only play ONE Current Card down to this level
        
      • You can play a max of TWO Classic Cards down to this level (Although maybe just make it 1)

I also think this would help the secondary market as well. You couldn't play a full Current lineup in Classic like you can now and you would have cards aging out of Classic. And as more of your veteran cards retired or came uncovered you would be needing to fill gaps that the aging out of Classic might not fill. So you would need to buy more cards to plug gaps and the only way to get those are on the secondary so it stimulates the secondary market

 

Former Bayern Youth player so won't be that bad. His team are mid table in Bundesliga 2 so you don't have the concern with him dropping into an uncovered league. Doesn't seem to have one position locked down, he plays either Left back, Left Wing Back, Left Midfield or Left Winger. Has scored a perfect 100 twice this season

Not the best T3 I could get as he isn't a regular starter especially as it's a Ligue 1 card so by the time he is he will be a classic card.

In my reward box I got £3.75 in market credit which will go with the cash I won. Might buy myself one of those really cool special Asian card designs. And got 160 essence in total now

 

Maybe I won't be buying one of the Asian special design cards. While they look amazing the inflation on them is mental. cards that sell for £1.40 on a normal auction are going for like £12 and above

 

Well looks like my lineups with Villa players in that were just throw away for XP has now forced me to go and buy all 3 United keepers so I'm not just wasting their good scores. Buying all 3 was cheaper than just buying one of the certain starters. This is the problem with rolling locks lol

Guess I could have waited until the lineups are announced on Thursday but I fear the prices will spike
