Accrington is another must-win. The game against Barnsley will be interesting. It was men against boys that day at the start of the season. I think we will be more of a challenge now.

 

They also say that both Peterborough and Barnsley put four goals past them but City were better than both.

They're right. Yesterday's performance was championship quality. We looked too good for this league.

If only Edin had been bulleted in May and we'd had Hopkin come in over the summer.

 

No this is a must win game with Barnsley next up. We cannot afford to go 5 or 6 points behind again, we have momentum Accrington are very up and down right now and god knows we owe them for selling us Mcartan and never having beaten them. Get this monkey off our back get 2 or 3 players in before the Barnsley game and who knows but this is definitely a must win

 

Yesterdays performance was up there with the best from the past couple of seasons.
We all saw the good things we did, therefore I wont eulogise anymore over what's already been wrote. I was very impressed by the camaraderie, their collective joy in their goal celebrations.
I get that in terms of DH's tenure here it is very early days. I do however give immense credit to him, a no nonsense almost dour style of manager, who clearly commands respect.
From been that angry and frustrated, felt he couldnt face the media after a particularly poor performance. He's moulded a team into hammering an average league one side, in one of the most one-sided league away games in my memory.
I recall Livingstone fans telling us we'd recruited a diamond, we're starting to see it!

 

The thread on this forum where some posters still question Hopkin is a joke.
The fitness levels, the work rate and willingness to run for everything and each other and never give up on seemingly lost causes is evident now in every game. To say points / win ratio isn’t that good since he came in is infantile.
His win ratio since his regime started to take effect over the last 5 or 6 games is fantastic. Prior to that the players were unfit and broken confidence or organisation wise. They needed a leader.
He has coped with injuries and suspensions which meant he could never play the same team but never really made a big deal of it. We've had some terrible injustices which he hasn’t overly dwelt on. Similarly he doesn’t go overboard when we thrash teams 4-0. He only ever got on with his job of sorting this cluster fcuk mess up. His demeanour is always the same and quite measured. The transformation is there for all to see. We all get that the removal of Rahic has certainly lifted the whole atmosphere around the Club and helped ,but the role of David Hopkin is the absolute key to getting this right. Yes we are still in the relegation zone but slowly making up ground. From what we have seen recently hopefully we should pull clear and look forward to a brighter future.

There's barely been a bad word said about Hopkin since our upturn in form.

 

The point is Tolly some could not see 'the wood for the trees' when he was working his socks off but result wise things were not going our way - some of the comments then totally ignored the bigger picture and lumped him in with the other problems at the club

Agree totally. It's hilarious that there was ever a 'bad word' said at all. What did people expect a miracle in six weeks??!! Do none of our fans pay attention to history and see that our two finest Managers (Jewell and Parky) both made slow starts
