He didn't like the thought of playing in front of such a big crowd.

Is there an age limit? I hear quite a bit that players coming back from injury, play in these fixtures to gain fitness etc. Same way that players who are not part of the first team plans for whatever reason, are often sent to train with the U23s and play in their matches.

2-2 if anyone interested. They took the lead, we equalised by a goal from Sikora, they took the lead, and we scored the last goal of the game on 88mins. Took this from Twitter...didn't say who scored our second goal. I suppose it will be on their website later on.

It may be a low point for these first teamers but I think they deserve a crumb of credit for playing in the game in the first place. I don't think many would have cared much if they refused but I suppose they wanted to get some gametime.
I don't for a second think we will see either Riley or Wright in the team though. Too many players ahead of them now. Injuries up front might mean we see Patrick but its still unlikely for me.Botswana Bantam and Jay like this. -

Imagine if Utd put some of their so called first teamers in a youth game? Not sure if the outcome would have been 2-2 with a last minute equaliser.
Kind of sums up the quality of those three.Jay and Aireboro Bantam like this. -

I randomly noticed that Plymouth reserves play in step 6. I wonder if that’s an option. However with Plymouth I expect it’s to do with the travel. Bit hit and miss for the local sides. Bigger gates but every now and then they get spanked when first team players play

The youth team have had plenty of games this season and this is the first one that Wright, Riley and Patrick have played in. Is Hopkin getting them match fit because he wants to use them?
