That's where I got to. Doyle doesn't want to be on the bench or play as much. This chap will be the JPT starter and on the bench.
I see he's tall.

Maybe Doyle doesn’t consider/isn’t fit enough to maintain the training schedule to be match ready, whilst also leading the GK coaching for Lewis.
If you consider the various potential outcomes it isn’t as bizarre as it might seem.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

The players sent out on loan, I wouldn’t imagine wil be on big money and we still have the thick end of nearly 30 in the squad. How many of those outside the match day squad are going to attract interested in the last weeks of the window? Very few I’d imagine… -

I suspect this is because either Doyle or Lewis is carrying a knock and we need a bench warmer. It will be a youth loan, so any development would be training with a first team squad and he's probably very cheap. I don't expect him to play any games and I certainly don't believe he's here to replace Doyle as number two on a long term basis.

And if Doyle isn't deemed able to be a number 2 so you needed a number 2 he just doesn't seem the right choice. If Lewis gets injured and you are forced to rely on him it could be problematic. You would think there should be an experienced keeper on the older side who could do the job and would be happy being on the bench and wouldn't cost much when Keepers are such an important and specialised positionStop hovering to collapse... Well he hasn't been brought in to cover an injury then. Not even on the bench today

I don't he'll get an opportunity but if he does I'm not prepared to write him off just because he dropped to non league just to get some first team action. -

If Lewis gets injured then Doyle will be in the 11 and Joe will be on the bench. Some PL clubs send out the young lads on loan just to get them out of their comfort zones and not expect them to get much game time.
