Anybody else read this? I knew (As any dumbo should) that the top game is utterly corrupt and manipulated by "outside" forces. But l had no idea how shocking the truth is, l don't think I'll ever pay into a top game again.

    Stunning book.

No, but I'll take a look.

Try The Age of Surveillance Capitalism to really depress yourself about power.

Cheers, ordered it, l do like economic/political books and the upcoming digital v non digital battle is indeed a crossroads.

But....football, scary how some clubs appear to be run by agents and loan sharks, big clubs too. The banality of coach and player interviews are laid bare when you realise they are contractually obligated to NOT engage with the fans, who fund the game, one way or another

How They Stole The Game...bio of Jao Havelange. Tells you all you need to know about the corruption in football from the very top and how, all these years on it's no different. There's no genuine desire to clean things up...too many snouts in the trough producing a thoroughly malignant hierarchy which trickles down all the way, leaving its nasty smell throughout the game.

I found it all a bit repetitive really. A lot of the stuff regarding transfers and underhand dealings are already common knowledge (as he's already leaked it to the media). it was ok, I was just expecting a few more shocking revelations.

If anyone fancies a brilliant football autobiography, Peter Crouch's is excellent, a very funny bloke.
