There’s hardly anything new here.

The headline says “Busy Rahic needs to take a step back now”.

There has been no evidence that Rahic has been interfering in Hopkin’s team affairs since he arrived.

It’s a bit of a non-story to be honest.

 

That seems like a decent summary of where we are at the moment. Nothing new for City fans to learn but gives a good fact based background for any other football fans who are curious about our plight.

 

Notice all these pieces are almost identical. That’s because they are. Probably written by a freelance hack for the press association. And keep being rehashed.i have a good idea who this guy is

 

Well I dunno what you're all on about I found it intriguing and relevant. I mean will premier league teams bid for Nick in January? Will the consortium take over and get him to sign a new contract? Or will Wigan get to the premier league themselves with the Grigg/Powell partnership intact? Time will tell.

 

It's adds nothing to what we know as fans but it's another opportunity for a whole new audience to become acquainted with the incompetence and poor judgement demonstrated by our Chairman.

It's all quite embarrassing as a fan.

As for not interfering in team affairs recently, I think we are all now pretty clear that the team interference happened in the summer leaving us with what Hopkin has to work with. A collection of individuals and up to now, not much of a team.

 

Apart from everything that's already been said and published it still continues to question Rupp and his involvement in the club. Rahic gets the flack yet we only every hear Rupp once every quarter to deliver an apology and he still gets away with being the silent one.

 

Haha don't worry he's not interfering really is rich considering the damage he's done isn't it!

 

Rupp is culpable, I will agree.

I get the impression that Rupp really isn't that interested (appalling if true IMO) and he's been sold this vision of his mate cleverly revolutionising our club and making a fortune for him whilst he stays in Germany doing what he actually enjoys.

Trouble is, the revolution is going too well at the moment and Rupp's investment is in danger of going down the toilet with the club.

Maybe Rupp has had enough of Rahic's meddlesome tendencies and has pulled rank in terms of leaving the football to the professionals? It's fun to imagine even if it's not true

 

Careful. You're not allowed to suggest that Rahic isn't an interfering busybody. Fact is, that he was hardly seen during Grayson's era either - but facts aren't allowed

 

The answers far more simple, but unfortunately boring. Like a lot of rabble rousing Chairman, he's gone quiet when he's got someone in charge that he believe's in. By definition, this makes him very unpopular as that means he didn't believe in McCall

The fact is, we've hardly heard from him, except to defend himself or make his dodgy summer appointment or to make amends for his dodgy summer appointment, since Stuart left. He was remarkably absent, vocally, when Grayson was in charge and we didn't have any utterances once Collins was appointed.

His error of course was his famous "I know about football" (I've misquoted slightly) that's set him up for an image he'll never lose

Not saying, he's turned into Julian Rhodes, but in the last seven months are can't say that he's deserving of his 'interfering' tag, in terms of footie matters

 

Wrong. By definition he is very unpopular because he sacked a manager who had us in the playoffs despite not being adequately backed in the January transfer window, then replaced him with a manager who thought he was doing us a favour, then replaced him with a complete novice who didn't even apply for the managers role. Because guess what? Rahic believed in him enough to give him 6 league games and a disastrous cup defeat at Macclesfield. The 'i know football' comment is just then icing on the cake.

 

..but had little impact when selecting players for our new 18/19 campaign - interesting Grayson out of the way and slow to recruit a replacement mmm - wonder why?
