Similar to a supporters club on the board, or at least that was their aim. They were part of a fundraising drive, to get together money for little projects the club felt werent in the best interests of spending on. I think their biggest outlay was the mini bus for the youth team although they could possibly have funded other projects too aswell as doing the junior bantams things too, ie Christmas parties etc. First came to prominence during lawn and Rhodes day, i think to be honest their time as passed now with regards they way things are going.

I’d be interested to know why they’re disbanding.

If you don’t know, Why not just make it up for yourself like we do with everything else at th club? As long as it paints the owners in a bad light you will be onto a winner

Where on TCA has this been said?

Is it from the same source who said that Rahic had banned the chairman of FoBC from VP and which turned out to be a lie?

You’re like one of them Trump/Brexit fans that insist the moon’s made of cheese, and the earth’s flat, despite all the evidence staring you right in the face.

I don't understand why anyone would be bothered if the fobc disbands or it doesn't. We as fans have more important things to contend with. The more fascinating part of that tweet is the suggestion that we're already in a feeder club arrangement with a premier league club. I'd assume that club is very local to us but would be interesting to know what this favour is.

Generally correct, Taf. Just to explain the original idea came from Mark Lawn who had strong views that the various Supporters Groups were too fragmented and the Club needed a focal point. Having listened to Mark at several Board meetings myself and David Baldwin agreed the only way to 'shut Mark up' was to do something.
David arranged an initial meeting to which we invited interested parties. This was around the end of the 2010/11 season and brought back several stalwarts of the old BCFC Supporters Club such as Mark Neale, Jean Calvert and Julie Stainthorpe. Mark was elected Chair and they set about fund raising from a very low base but quickly raised cash and sponsorship for medical equipment.
David Baldwin then decided that in parallel he would start the Supporters Board which he did, leaving the liason between FoBC and the Board to me, joined by my colleague Graham Jones and so it went forward. On behalf of FoBC graham and I persuaded the Board to let the group organize the POTY event which has been a fantastic success over the years and the group reformed the Junior Bantams.
Funds have been raised for many projects, too many to mention but centre pitch sprinklers, contributions to scoreboard, dressing rooms, mini bus and others are significant.
With the change in ownership in 2016, myself and Graham stepped away, Graham having left the Board already and myself leaving at the request of the owners. The reason being I had no longer an input to Board and felt it better that Edin or James Mason took over my role.
Since then there has been a gradual lessening of matters, the Junior Bantams organisers are no longer active and the Club, I am told wants far more influence over the group, which if true is sad and possibly behind the news of winding up. again if it is true, I have heard nothing so urge caution.
