That doesn’t answer the question as to why we played some of the dumbest football i’ve seen at Valley Parade in many a year. I could have left after the first goal yesterday, gone home and written what the outcome of the game would have been without even watching the rest of it. It was painfully predictable, its the reason the boos at the wnd were primarily aimed at Hopkin.
The buck stops with him, hes the manager and he is responsible for the way we play with the players we have at our disposal. We played long ball all game yesterday, it hasn’t worked all season and guess what? With the type of player brought in the January transfer window it didn’t work yesterday. In fact, on the odd occassion O’Donnell remembered he had hands and rolled the ball out we actually got a corner out of an attack.
I accept defeat in football even though it makes me a grumpy sod for a day or two after, what i refuse to accept is dumb football tactics and thats what i witnessed yesterday.

Why have we been left with a situation where there aren't any options from the bench? We had the whole of January to rectify that problem.

On the occasions that Butterfield got on the ball he showed quality. The amount of times he was showing for the ball, only for NKP or O’Connor to smash it upfield was ridiculous.

Ched Evans showed us what center forward play was all about , winning balls, taking balls down and bringing other players into the game and if that didnt work drag your marker all over the pitch with the occasional foul thrown in.

As it stands we deserve to go down.

Long ball shite against two of the biggest centre backs in the league. Fragile defenders that can’t do the basics and a lacklustre malaise about everything we do.

We’re in the fight of our lives and you wouldn’t know it.

    Not for me he doesn't.

Hoping he keeps us up but he seems lost now. Confused.

Comes in says we need wingers then doesn't sign any.

    Signs about 5 midfielders

    Doesn't sign a forward

    Doesn't improve CB

Gets two injury prone players in Woods and Clarke.

Gone from passing football to hoof ball

Other all not been good enough

Thoroughly depressing game and we got what we deserved. Very worried about us staying up now cos of Hopkins inability to change tactics. Anyone could see it wasn't working yet we just carried on lumping it high up field. Very frustrating and worrying.

I honestly had faith in Dave Hopkin and thought he'd get us well clear of a relegation place, but our last few game have had no consistency at all, and today was very poor.
Unfortunately with us gifting Fleetwood an early goal looked like they were more than happy to see out the game holding the one goal lead, we heard back in Phil Parkinson's and Stuart McCall's day they didn't have a plan "B" it's looking like the same can be said of Dave Hopkin, as much as I would like to disagree, I can't, after today's performance I'm worried.

Hopkin has said many times he isn't interested in playing with a 'target man'.

So you're saying that we couldn't get a winger, a forward, a decent CB in the Jan window?

People really over use it's hard to get players in the Jan transfers window as a massive excuse for failure.

You've watch us all season haven't you? We're a poor side. The players we had at the start of the season O'Connor, NKP, Doyle, Chicksen etc are not good enough. Our 1st 11 isn't good enough hence why we're in this mess.

So, to waste wages(money) on the likes of Anderson, Clarke etc the others Hopkin got in is pointless. Seriously what was the point in signing Billy Clarke? Can someone answer that for me?

We needed players to walk into our 1st team. Are you telling me we couldn't sign them in Jan?

Hopkin is lost. He is one confused manager. He's struggling. It was a shambles in the Jan window.

He doesn't know his ar@se from his elb@w at this minute and quickly needs to sort Bradford City out or we will go down!!

Wow .......... Just SO much negativity about, these days.

    Let's just face a few facts ...........

Life in general is just one BIG shitt sandwich - An' now and again it's your turn to take a bite, or two.
Just take the bites, chew, and then swallow - with a little dignity if you can.
City are not the only ones in this situation, you know. Any positive has to be a plus - So let's start that from the Terraces, OK ? If ever a 'twelfth' man were needed .............. It's now - And every week, hereon in until May.

Let's attack teams from the Terraces, whilst our players try to do the same on the pitch. :)

ONE fact is ............... City can avoid relegation - Another is we may not.
So ......................... Let's do this. Start making it happen now.

We do. It’s the only area we DO have quality. Payne, Butterfield, LOB, Ball. All quality, technical players.

But no, let’s keep smashing it over their heads.

Does not help when clown Hopkin moves O' Brien his minder from centre midfield out wide so takes his minder away who gives him the protection to influence the game, A self inflicted defeat

Poppycock. His interview basically exonerated himself from any blame, but it was his tactics, hence why we started with Miller and not Doyle.

If he’s saying players have to take responsibility, why didn’t he tell them that at HT or from the sideline when we continued to hoof it from O’Donnell’s boot? Keeps claiming it isn’t our tactic to play this way, yet his keeper insists on booting it long. Even when our fullbacks come short or our midfielder show for it, his first thought is to tell them to push up whilst he hoofs it long.

If that’s not a tactic, why isn’t Hopkin berating him for it from his technical area?

If we do go down, does Hopkin deserve the chance in div 2,not for me he doesn't .

He's had enough games to keep us up this season.

I fail to understand why he has taken no responsibility.

    1) What homework did he do, surely he knew playing long balls in behind wouldnt work against the leagues tallest centre half

    2) Upon watching the first 45 minutes why didnt he alter anything

    3) why did he weaken the side by moving o 'brien wide just to shoehorn butterfield in

    4) despite having a not great game, you do not take your only player with a genuine football brain off with 20 mins to go when you need a goal

    5) why persist with miller who was in effective all game yet take him off for a midfielder with three minutes left.

    6) how can he come out after the game and in the first 30 seconds claim we had 4 or 5 good opportunities to score
