Now we can replace Rowe with Cooke.
Anything above 8th is extremely ambitious when relying on a couple of individuals.

Jumping up and down like we have won the match? Funny enough we haven't won a game since.

The hype behind the Bolton game reminded me of the Swindon game last season. Both teams going well, bravado between the supporters, game ends in a draw, one team kicks on and one falls away.
I've gone to finish outside the playoffs due to our lack of creativity which is surprising given the players we brought in. The set up doesn't allow for it and 1 up top means the ball is coming back more times than not. -

I'm also sticking 8-12th. Nothing much in the division really but we're not quite there yet for a top 7 finish. Defensively I think we are but offensively I don't think we're anywhere near. We just haven't got the balance between defence and attack yet which is disappointing because I think we've got some really good and talented attackers.

I went 8-12th when this thread started, at one point since then we got to within 3 points of the playoffs with a game in hand and I thought I was being negative. Then Cooke had a poor game and then got injured and we’ve been very poor in that period. If his injury is serious then I could see us dropping like a stone and ending somewhere like 18-19th such is the difference he makes in this set up. The way to change that would be to work out a new system which doesn’t require Cooke’s work rate combined with his attacking threat. T & S are yet to prove they have a plan B yet however so far it’s been 4/2/3/1 and hard to beat every single game. Hopefully we come up with a few new ideas and soon. Either way and be massively and pleasantly shocked if we somehow got playoffs now, long term performances are a real indicator of future form as we saw in the season after Wembley when we collapsed and ours aren’t good enough atm.

Thought may be interesting to resurrect this thread, with our local rag today suggesting the possibility of a late play off push.
I am doubtful, and our next opponents may not be so obliging and pour cold water on things. Hope I am wrong and we get our winning legs again.
