How many managers have had a great season in league 2 and then been snapped up by a championship club and failed miserably. Adams managed Plymouth in league1 for 2 seasons so has had the experience of that and maybe he's now found a club that he wants to stay and move up the leagues. His experience of league 1 will help us establish ourselves in that league if we get promoted and will have a decent budget , whereas he knew that if he stayed at Morecambe he wouldn't have much chance of keeping them up so left for a club that would if he gets us up. Football management is the same as any management job and you gain experience and choose when to go for a higher position to enhance your career.

Maybe those clubs didn't make a bid, but there was interest -

Some would tell you "A goalkeeper should never be captain", but Manuel Neuer has disproven that for years winning the top competitions in international and domestic football.
Some would tell you "The best way to success is to spend money", but we know for a fact that's not the case at this level - see Phil Parkinson.
Some would tell you "A manager shouldn't be a friend to the players", but Jurgen Klopp has blown that out of the water with Liverpool.
These quoted, stock phrases simply aren't facts. Stuart failed because for a ton of reasons; that he was pally with the players just isn't a critical flaw in his approach. -
If you want me to form an opinion based on your comment you need to quote more than stock phrases as you put it.
Then compare his record say with Adams record perhaps? -
Just what we need a big lump sat in the middle, Hope he comes with a set of wheels

I'm certainly not comparing Stuart to Adams. They seem completely different, what I'm saying is the style doesn't matter; it's substance that matters. -
Stuart , like it or not was the latter, the substantial difference between the two , to me, is I would happily sit in the Adams camp. That’s substance and style all rolled into one, in my opinion. -

It's always been the case that many fair and reasoned appraisals have been rubbished and laughed off as negative, even if the vast majority have ultimately been proven to be correct down the years. -

I think some assume that if we sign a player, we've signed them because the manager thinks they're ideal.
It's more likely, especially at this level, that we've signed the best known available player within budget - which could be Adams' sixth, seventh, eighth, or greater choice. In which case I don't think Adams will lose any sleep if they're not the next Pélé, as long as he's got some cover - seems some put too much stock in actually getting a deal over the line as a mark of absolute confidence from the gaffer. -
