    Hi

After a bit of a favour for this weekend's game. We are launching a Ground Guide for away fans for this season given most of our opponents won't have been to our place, and if they have they'll be asking if the Church Inn is still open. We know you lot know as well as any away town, so we are asking you to road test it for us this weekend.

Throughout the guide, we have links to a survey. The idea is that we will add the comments to each section so away supporters aren’t just taking our word for it, but have the views of other away fans to back it up to give it a Trip Advisor feel to it.

There’s still some bits need adding that we will work on before Ebbsfleet. The Eating at the Ground image will be updated following this weekend’s game, and we have a few sections that are “to be updated”. We’ll get it finished before next week’s game.

So in the meantime, we need your help. I’m sure we’ve got some errors in there, overcomplicated matters or some glaring omissions, so if we have, please let us know. We want this to be a simple guide packed with everything anyone could possibly want to know.

To visit the ground guide, go to https://www.daletrust.co.uk/crown-oil-arena-ground-guide/

Thanks for your support with this, and if you could be so kind to add comments next weekend after the game, that would be the best thing ever.

And finally, the bad news is the Chippy near the turnstiles is shut this weekend. Annual holidays for them.

On the directions issue, as you turn left at the end of the A627M near Williams Mini/BMW, you go under the ‘Rochdale Home of the Co-op’ railway bridge, which is a prominent marker, easy to pick out and confirms you have made the correct turn. On leaving especially if you are going East, then going through town and joining the M62 at the Littleborough/Milnrow junction is often better than trying to go up the A627M, as the tail backs down Roch Valley Way can be lengthy (well it can be if you get over 2,000 visitors).
The pub list you have put together is fairly extensive.
I have never got through the pain barrier of drinking JW Lees!!! Phoenix and Pictish I can enjoy……but JW Lees:zippy:
Personally wish Dale all the best for next season (even your naughty neighbours the Latics and and the ‘Shaken’).

The traffic lights near Tesco’s are annoying because the left lane forces you left onto A58 and 2 lanes force you right onto the A58 which means many cars attempt to push in as they’re in the wrong lane, but unless you’re familiar with the area you don’t know this until closer to the lights.

doesn't make it any easier when you're familiar with the area, other than teaching you to get as close to the car as front as possible, whilst conveniently forgetting to look anywhere on the right.

Cheers for the help. We've updated the directions and found a brief rain free window to go and snap the bridge.

Not sure what it is like these days, but in the past I would definitely advise against parking on the Greave Estate! Certainly leave absolutely nothing visible in the car.
