The Royal ? been there several times as you say out for a few and on getting back to your room look out across the bay at the Abby illuminated very picturesque.

Went a couple of weeks ago and went to see Limehouse Lizzy at the The Pavillion, literally over the road.

 

I’m not privileged enough mate. It’s just one of life’s irritations that allows wealthy people to unlock perks.

 

For some reason I thought you ran a business, and could maybe lay part of your taxes off as entertaining, although that would have been difficult during Hughes time at Valley Parade.

 

Nope I’m just a mere employee earning a decent wage maybe but still have to put the long miles in to build up city points.
Some people though can flash that cash to get most things they want/need.

 

Hmm, @Loyalbantam , I commend you for all the above, now think about other “similarly” successful fellas, maybe at boardroom level in a large commercial enterprise.
They might choose to splash the cash to become unpaid associate directors and receive “things” in return but isn’t there a bit more to it? I wouldn’t know @wetherbywhaler ( just a random example ) if I fell over him but from reading these boards it seems that his commercial experience has been put to good use by the club over the years. So we see a”quid pro quo” in place where maybe he is able to access tickets without loyalty points. But is that wrong that a fella who has demonstrably helped the club like that, then gets some kind of reward?
For the record, I don’t agree with everything he posts either but.
