Didn't Bowyer also talk about having height and pace in the team?

    Then signs Palmer!

The man was a 1990 car salesman. Talks utter nonsense

Not at all you have every right to hold the manager to account, I just think with what we've had to suffer as a football club recently it breeds frustration amongst some of our fan base, whether it was McCall or any other manager who had come in it was a big call expected/hoped/demanded what ever word we want to put before it wont IMO make the job any easier.
McCall's been in charge for 3 games and with a bit of luck we could have been lookinthat cost us 2 points, it was down to a lapse of concentration our game management, as was yesterdays result, some say McCall made the O'Connor for McCartan call too early but we were under a Cambridge bombardment from the start of the second half, McCall obviously thought he'd try and get another body in the back line earlier than later because we looked so vulnerable, I'm not sure it was all down to our defence not holding out, Novak missed 2 chances on another day he's score from, very small margins, but I certainly haven't given up on a play off place.

You'd Paul Jewell helping Wellens! Jewell is still helping him now.

I understand what you're saying and you're corrrct but Swindon have football people running their club we have a poor accountant and an owner in Germany that has no interest in the game.

If Wellens leaves Swindon at the end of the seas Power and Jewell will have a plan. We don't.

You hired Wellens in Nov 18 then appointed Jewell in December 18. Power changed things from Brown and went with a younger manager & and sporting director. We just go back to Rhodes and McCall. So, it's not the same at all mate. Swindon learn from their mistakes and try different things.

The club needs a sporting director urgently

Plenty of hints from McCall in todays piece in the T&A that he knows promotion with this current squad is unlikely and appears to already have eyes on promotion next season instead.

I think McCall’s piece in the T&A is pragmatic and I don’t think he is deliberately trying to dumb down our chances of promotion this season. Yes we are still sitting within reach of the playoffs, and he and Kenny will be working flat out to find the right combination of players to get us into the playoffs. However, he talks about attitude today as well, “spaces don’t score goals men do” and concentration and the absolute will not to be beaten and to not give way when you are in the lead. Twice he has seen our team throw away a lead; that is what has been happening under Bowyer and why we have been dropping down the table.

We had that soft underbelly all last season, and this is just more signs that our squad are not robust or have the right attitude. He has been given 16 months to turn us around, I personally think that is much more realistic, yes he is going to try and get us there this season if he can “toughen” them up, if not they are gone in the summer.

McCall and Black won't have given up on the play offs but I think comments like every player will get a chance doesn't help when clearly we haven't got time for that mindset. Needs to figure out quickly how he wants involved and doesn't.

Look, of we're all honest McCall wouldn't be here if he wasn't a legend at the club. I am glad he's back but he's back to sell the season tickets. Rhodes went safe and fair enough but no what?

We need to finish in the play offs this season. It's a must for McCall because the honeymoon period will end quickly & I would fear for this club on & off the pitch.

Just read the T & A comments and I just think McCall feels it might be tough getting into the players this season. He changed his tune a little since taking the job. Him and Black will think most of the squad can't do what they want. It's rebuild again time!

They don't in the lower leagues! Even two of the clubs you mentioned earlier - Crewe and Exeter - chose not to fill the role when the previous incumbent left the club.

But that's the problem, we can't the club from top to bottom has gone so far back successive managers can't revive it Rhodes can only do what he can and no one else is interested.

Never ever hear any suggestions from you how this club moves forward. I don't profess to be a successful business man as yourself, my thoughts are get it right on the pitch the rest should take care of itself up to a point, wasn't that the very reason Rack & Ruin bought our club because they saw the potential ?.

Tick, tick along with Rhodes! Up to a point as fans there is little else we can do , we had Rahic before as CEO and that went well didn't it, Rupp knew little with regards football in general never mind Bradford City, so I'd suggest short term re-appointing Julian Rhodes was a good call on his opinion.

A fan you're the perfect target audience. Happy and content with anything the club does. A marketing dream !.
I'd suggest with 60 + years behind me watching Bradford City your possibly correct, unfortunately being a fan/supporter of Bradford City there was little as an individual I could do to change things,I've helped run supporters clubs to generate money in the past, done my share of helping the club with regards DIY jobs as a teenager, blanket collections at half time (that wouldn't be allowed now a days with health & Safety) sold raffle tickets etc.
I'll use the quote that has been used many times on here "I'm just happy we have a club to support", tell us just what you believe we can do as individuals or a forum group that will make our owner more pro-active and make Rupp invest more of his own personal wealth into Bradford City,
I get it more money should give us a better chance of being a success but at this present moment it looks very much to me with his lack of interest in football his financial backing will be minimum to keep the club as you quote "ticking over".

Well that's it fans seemed to have down tools and just happy from Rhodes to have us ticking over.

    That's fine mate.

You watch Top Gear on Sunday? They said we get asked why we don't talk about normal car so went through about new 30 cars with in most people's price range and hammered them all. They didn't care if it upset the audience or manufacturers . They were stating you want to buy shi&e you will get sh&te but we're different and we will discuss the non normality.

Tyson Fury fighting on Sunday against a man how has the hardest punches in boxing. Now if he believed in facts and he couldn't make a difference to win he wouldn't be in that fights. Facts don't offen making reasoning. You deal with the facts and look to see how you can improve.

Suppose the point I am trying to make is as a forum if we want to be boring and deal in facts, just wait until match day with no one making suggestions then fine. I don't own the club, I am not Rhodes, I can't make the changes but I would like to think we can discuss any potential changes or suggestions to the future no matter how wild they're. Some of the richest people in the world became rich with wild ideas and not accepting the facts.

However, you're right nothing is in our hands. Let's just wait to Saturday comes and hopefully 3 points mate. Let's all wait to see what happens with the club.

So what do you suggest as fans we do to bring success to the club that's the debate when posters suggest were happy to just tick over.
I'm sure we can all offer what the club might do to bring us success sooner than later but there is little as fans we can do apart from buy season tickets/merchandise etc and support the club financially.

Edit, are you under water down Apperley Bridge ?.

season tickets need to back to a tiered pricing structure much like they used to be.. £150 for the worst views, progression to £250 for the best views (halfway line, centre of goal). cheap tickets there as an option for those that want cheaper tickets and if you want a better view then it's going to cost more.

Is this from Zen and the Art of Supporting City?

    Perhaps a little introspective thought?

Mountains should be climbed with as little effort as possible and without desire. The reality of your own nature should determine the speed. If you become restless, speed up. If you become winded, slow down. You climb the mountain in an equilibrium between restlessness and exhaustion. Then, when you're no longer thinking ahead, each footstep isn't just a means to an end but a unique event in itself....To live only for some future goal is shallow. It's the sides of the mountains which sustain life, not the top.
