And will be announced as head coach tomorrow

 

Thing is unless he changes his ways sacking Collins is only half the issue addressed. He needs to swallow his pride, take a back seat and get a proven coach/manager in and give him full control.

To be fair to him he's done what a large number of fans have asked him to do and something that many said his ego wouldn't allow. Time to wait and see what happens next.

If it is, it will be another huge PR disaster by the club. He's already in the building, already part of the coaching set up, if he is taking over it should have been part of tonight's announcement, not an unveiling tomorrow that is going to create yet more negativity.

Why not just appoint him as caretaker and then find the right man? It's clear players didn't rate him and results were woeful.

I very much doubt Abbo would accept a job as permanent manager as much as he loves the club

 

Scunthorpe did the same as us . . . and few others. We are a poorly led club at the moment though!

 

No way that will happen. Abbo's played a big part in all this bloody farce and should be gone along with MC & MD. He's in no fit state healthwise either to be taking any further responsibility even though, if truth be known, he's been the real Head Coach all along!

We need to reset the clock to zero and start again with a completely new Coach/ Management team. I hope to god that ER now fully recognises this and he makes the right appointment to ensure a positive upturn on the field and around the Club.

 

No ER does not have balls for doing this - he has thrown MC under the bus as his fall guy (which many people on here said would happen). The only thing to be pleased about tonight is the RIGHT decision has been reached but it should never have needed making in the first case - I will wait to see what happens tomorrow re the next appointment but more importantly how ER is going to communicate the massive *@?$ up he has made of his own role at the club over the past 8 months.
The vast majority of fans know what has happened today is in the best interests of the club (and perhaps MC when the dust settles) but the appointment of another Head Coach is NOT the only change that needs making
