The best striker in the lower leagues is up for Player of the Month - against Hanson!

Doyle is a superb all round player, he gets my vote.

Doyle is indeed one of the best strikers in League Two, and his form at Swindon is showing what he's capable of.

it's a major failure of BCAFC to not get much out of him.

Agree you have to ask why Collins, Hopkin and Bowyer couldn't get him to score with any consistency.

You don't need to ask anyone, the majority of people on here could see why Doyle consistently struggled. The solution was also suggested plenty of times.

The majority suggested that he needed a big man to play up top with him, I can categorically tell you that Jerry Yates isn't that sort of player that was suggested that Doyle needs to perform...

There are several on here who believe it was all down to Doyle's attitude couldn't care less whilst picking up a very good salary, yet he has gone to Swindon under Wellen's and scoring, if Swindon are up and around the play off teams (hopefully with us) and Doyle is still scoring they either pay a transfer fee for him to stay at Swindon or I'd bring him back to Valley Parade.

It didn't have to be a target man, he was just desperate for support and someone to help occupy defenders and give Doyle more space to run into.

Even in the few games with George Miller (who definitely wasn't a target man) he looked brighter and sharper. It was glaringly obvious what the problem was.

If we're playing two up top every week I'd say it's a no brainer but then again, I'm not in charge of the clubs finances.

If it's correct what they were saying on Radio Leeds prior to the game last Saturday and we're paying some of his wage (I didn't catch what %) and Swindon are a fellow competitor for a play off place I'd think it would make very good sense to ask for a transfer fee if Swindon wanted him to stay, and if Swindon are not prepared to buy him bring him back to our club.

If he returns and scores a bunch, this loan is probably one of the best moves we've ever made, is it not?

The only disadvantage is the aid we'd have given to Swindon - but he was on abysmal form here, and if he returns red hot and finally performs in claret and amber, then fair play I'd say.

Being a devious b*****d I wouldn't be too bothered about bringing him back even if our lads were scoring, him having to sit on the bench would mean he wouldn't be scoring for Swindon ;)

I wonder if there is a clause in his loan agreement that he does not figure against us.in the league.

No successful team has built a side around Doyle, and that's a fact.

Swindon Town might be the first, but we've played 8 games.

Do you think it might be a bit early to announce Swindon as promoted courtesy of signing Doyle?

    Lazy post.

Vaughan has an honours section to his Wiki that includes club successes. Doyle does not.

There is also obviously no comparison between the level the two have played at.

    Again, lazy post.
