I questioned him when he took Grealish off for Trippier but it worked and we are in the final and every game is different we can win it

 

Great game and result, but thought it was a dive for the penalty. Put it this way if Italy do the same to us Sunday we’ll be calling them cheats, shame it takes that in football to win but looking forward to the final nevertheless.

Never a pen and there wasn’t a pundit or ref who disagreed. He put his leg out into the defender, another part of modern football I don’t like.

 

Hopefully, a proper home advantage might just swing it our way. And there's talk of the crowd limit being upped from 60k to 90k - I bloody hope so!

 

That German ref we had was a decent one...contrary to what most of us thought beforehand he was very fair and kept the game running well.

 

England and easy rarely go together in a tournament,
the previous game was when they did manage easy.

Saw a tweet from a Danish poster that mentioned the last 7 games between Eng and Den at Wembley finished 1-0-
Den winning 2(including the latest one) and Eng winning 5.

Expecting a close game but am open to an outlier, an English game managed one!

 

I don't fancy us for this, despite us being favourites. I'm yet to see anything overwhelmingly impressive from England. Our results tell us we're functionally effective and improving game by game - but are we really? Enough to get to, and win a final? The game against Germany was very even, separated by the finest of margins in how each side took their 2 proper chances. The narrative afterwards was how England 'controlled the game'. I don't think we did - it was the sort of game that looks controlled after, when the result is done, but during the game we were far from dominant. The Ukraine were out on their feet, lost their one decent centre back during the game and we killed them on a couple of set pieces.

You can only beat what's in front of you, but where with England we're set up to be solid and pragmatic, with the Italians and Spanish, you've seen a better quality of football.

We'll probably edge it tonight, but it wouldn't surprise me if we didn't.

 

Apart from Mueller's missed chance, which was gifted to them by Walker, and Havertz's snap shot that Pickford tipped over, what did Germany create in the second half? It looked pretty comfortable to me. Once we got ahead we controlled the midfield, nullified their much-vaunted wingbacks and they created nothing of any substance.
