It's not really 7 defensive minded players though, is it? When we play with wing backs they spend as much, if not more time in the opposition half than our own. Shaw has been one of our biggest attacking threats and goal providers and when he plays as wing back rather than fullback it gives him even more licence to attack. Against teams that have good wingbacks, like Germany, that keeps them occupied defensively rather than threatening our flanks.
Having said that, Italy generally play 433 so I can't see Southgate going with a back three. I think it'll be 4231 as yesterday.

 

He’s been player of the tournament for me, and has carried us at times. I didn’t used to be his biggest fan but we wouldn’t be in the final without him not a chance. Think they’ll struggle if we play balls in behind just don’t try take them head on.

We need more composure. Its far from convincing, but important that we equalised quickly. The longer the game goes on, the more that our stronger bench might be the difference

Why didn’t the Dane have to go off after receiving treatment?

 

Maybe the fact that Rashford has looked completely ineffective when he has come on has something to do with why he isn't getting much game time?

 

It made up for the one on Harry Kane which did look like a penalty

I agree - those are crazy odds, but probably more reflective of the weight of betting rather than the relative merits of the teams.
I think Denmark will be tough. I suspect that Gareth Southgate will opt to revert to the 343 system he used so successfully against Germany, to nullify the Danish wing backs. Most of the Danish goals come from crosses, so if we can stop those happening we remove much of their danger. I'm hoping that Sterling and either Sako or Sancho will be told to run at their central defenders and that Shaw will get down the side to deliver killer crosses for Kane or Sterling to finish.
The Danes have also conceded several late goals, and they looked out on their feet by the middle of the second half against the Czechs, so our quality off the bench could be a big factor.
If we play to our potential we should have enough to win this, but I don't think it will be easy.

Interesting. He's gone 4231, not 343 as I expected. He must think our back four can cope with their wingbacks ok. Looks like it's 'attack is the best means of defence'.

5 in normal time, 1 more in ET. Their manager has freshened their team up and ours hasn't. I think its a mistake, its the ace we have.
