Do you think we will see Odesebe again this season?

He said he’ll be back in 2 weeks against Salford, isn’t he back in full training?

I think both Hughes and Odesebe are both reasonably positive that he'll play a part. Obviously he'll take a good 3 to 4 weeks after appearing again to get properly match fit but I can't see any reason why not.

Didn't Hughes recently say he was back on grass and just needed integrating into the group again?

I hope Odesebe gets back to the player he was before his injury.

The trouble is we don’t know how good a player he is, because we were robbed of his services within minutes. Let’s cross our fingers he gets back to the player we HOPE he is.

Not on playing grounds, rather he had slagging from drunken home fans and retaliated. That’s the story isn’t it??

A few mentioned "lazy", "unmotivated" and "flattered to deceive". Also said he liked to be a show pony that had one good game in 8.

Like you say though Kevin, perhaps if he didn't have the best relationship with the fans it then makes it more difficult to put in consistently good performances.

Yes of course, they would use any phraseology to support their dislike for a player. It’s usual on any forum for sure. Time will tell…my only fear is he could be “less” of a player because of the serious injury and the potential for psychological harm it may have caused. The first tackle in “anger” will be the one to disprove the theory. I hope we see a real benefit to the squad.

He had something like 10 goals and assists in a Walsall team who scored just, I think, 47 goals last season.

Their boards, were not happy when he went.

Even in that 15 minutes he looked good.

I don't understand why we're questioning, never mind having an article, on as to whether he'll be back. Hughes has stated that he's back in training, albeit it light.

Strange!! I read the opposite. Then again we have fans on these boards who were at best 'meh' about Watt - how just happens to be running away with all the midfield 'best at' stats.

I think, under Hughes and Hodges, he would have blossomed. He's also more of a proper midfielder, i.e. would probably have been a big help defensively.

    Anyway. We can't judge yet.

Watt is a strange one. One of those players that you think could get a game in league 1 but then looks bloody awful in league 2. Against us a week or two back he was appalling and showed exactly the same weaknesses to his game that he showed throughout his time with us, a woeful display of inaccurate passing.

Stats can mean whatever you want them to mean dependant on your narrative. Callum Cooke was consistently in the top five in quite a few stats but we let him go.

I don’t think he’s doing that great at Hartlepool and Watt the same if both teams where flying then fair enough ............. but where above both on the back of a really dodgy spell

I agree, stats can be manipulated to suit a persons argument. Take Paudie for example, i wasn't overly impressed with him in his spell with us yet he's holding down a place in league 1.
