I read that article, summed up a lot about what football is these days, a sport ingrained at the top level with greed, agents are parasites living off the back of others.

The not knowing must be the worst thing, and even though there's still hope, it's the false hope that will eventually hurt more.Bantamsteve, Faithful Bantam, Interested Bystander and 1 other person like this. -
it's bad news for his family I'd imagine, nevermind Cardiff.Skyebantam likes this. -

There is also the fact that the insurance may not pay out until after the window is closed so they will have to find the money elsewhere and now other clubs know how much they spent on him and the fact prices usually go up the closer to the end of the window you get they may have to find more than the insurance will payStop hovering to collapse... Shocking news.
How about that for bad luck for Cardiff?
Not looking good now for him. Such a shame. Dream move to premiership too probably all gone before a ball kicked. -

But as you say tragic for his family etc. Cardiff are a football club so its nowhere near the same as you point out. They just miss out on an asset and will more than likely be insured -

Putting aside family and emotions and all that, what does it mean for Cardiff financially? Is there some sort of insurance they can claim?
I'm not a cold hearted bastard - just genuinely wondering what happens if you sign someone for 15 million quid, and then they die.
Hope it doesnt come to that, and they find him (and the other passengers) alive somehow. Doesn't look good though -
It seems wreckage has been found in the English Channel.

Read an article in paper saying he didn’t even want a move but his agent sorted it and it ended up with 4 agents involved all wanting their cut

According to the BBC, the wreckage has a body in it. Not sure that needs to be reported.
Pretty awful if someone was trapped in there and it went down to the bottom. But then again, if there's only one body, then it means someone got out, but didn't make it, which is not a nice end either.
The team who found the wreck say they were suprised the plane is still in one piece, as normally planes hit at relatively high speeds when they go down onto the water and break up.
Do planes this size have black boxes?
