    | Best wishes to Ellis Hudson, who has today terminated his contract - by mutual consent - in a bid to explore opportunities elsewhere in football.

    Always felt a player whom has promise but never quite delivered. Enjoyed him skinning Charlie Adams a few times Vs Stoke in the EFL Trophy last season/ season before last.

    Hearing he has a place at a U.S college, possibly hoping to go further in MLS at some point. Good luck, didn't quite work for him here.

    That's good to hear!

    Many sports are taken extremely seriously at collegiate level in the US, so hopefully that's transferring to football and Ellis benefits from a great opportunity.

    The very same that happens to hundreds of young 'footballers' ... Play a game or two, but never reach your potential.
    It's all down to desire and dedication. Fall short of that, and join the rest on just £13.00 per hour (as many fans are !), IF you actually have some skill beyond football !

    Really sad as this news.
    Ellis should really have had more opportunities based on the games he played he often made an impact.
    Local lad has to move on. Can’t believe he didn’t get more of a go during the last 12 months where the team has under performed so much. To me he looked like he had something about him. Good luck in future.

    There has to be a reason why the likes of Hudson and to a lesser degree Gibson, aren’t getting game time, even when we’ve been as dire as anytime I can remember. They don’t have the consistency, ability or application to push forward and have probably reached their level.

    We can’t keep paying these lads if they’re not progressing so the best thing for all concerned is to part ways.

    Never saw anything in him to suggest he was ever gonna get near the first team. Good luck to him in America, can make a decent career over there now with their football scene getting bigger all the time.

    Couldn't get in the hgate town.tram when on loan there and when he did come on looked average at best
