Someone on Twitter called him £lliott Watt. We would be in automatics if he had stayed here. The only reason he went to Salford was cash!!!

weren’t any of the penalties in those games listed?
and as it is being used to compare him unfavourably against Rooney and Charlton what about the goals they scored against poor teams? Charlton played Northern Ireland regularly in the Home Nations Cup etc. care to share their stats to compare? -

EDIT: don’t know where assist stats are freely available for the League clubs, but in the Prem the top assisters are;
KDB 13
Saka 11
Pereira 10
Trossard 9
Salah 8
Watt will have undoubtely played more matches but there can’t be many players in the Football League with more than 15 assists I wouldn’t have thought?
EDIT 2: BBC actually log assist stats in the Football League. Watt has the most in the country!
Moxon at Carlisle is on 13, Whitfield at Barrow is on 12. Highest assisters in Championship and L1 at Boro and Bristol Rovers are both on 11 a pop. -
I liked Watt and would have been pleased had he stayed, but he chose to leave which is fair enough. The supporter expectation is at a completely different level between the two clubs, so maybe that's the reason he's shining where he is. Prone to giving the ball away or committing fouls in dangerous areas around his own box, he has his faults, but he excels at getting a team on the front door quickly. Something we've been reluctant to do all season.
