Tennis has officially done it that way for at least 3 decades. The sizes of draw's are different per tournament so its more consistent to talk about Round fo 128, 64, 32, 16 than it is to talk about Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 etc. because its consistent no matter the draw size where Round's simply aren't. It's only when they get to the Quarters and on that it officially switches and that's because the minimum sized draw allowed is 16 so Quarters, Semis and Final are consistent and always exist

Unofficially people will generally use Round 1, Round 2 etc but the part you saw that on I'm guessing was probably Order of Play. Websites like the BBC don't manually enter these. If they had to do that for every sport they have calenders for it would be a time consuming full-time job (maybe even needing multiple people). What they actually do is they parse a data feed provided by the competitions into their database and then the page pulls that data (and the feed will be checked every so often and any changes updated to the database and anything new added to the database) so its not the BBC choosing to use the Round of 128, its the data being pulled from the official feed

 

Hope you get Man Utd and then do what you did last season and sign one of the players who scores against you on loan. At least then if your footballs as boring as last season I'll have something to keep me interested

 

Got a little easier for you as well as Nathan Bishop has just been shipped out to Mansfield on loan. Spent most of last season with the 1st team including being on the bench for most of the Europa League matches (including the final) ahead of Lee Grant.

 

I wasn't being patronised. I was providing you with some team news. I'm not sure what the overage rules are but unless Heaton can play he is probably the best keeper United had available to play

He played some but as we had Lee Grant injured and Romero refusing to come back from Argentina because we wouldn't agree to sell him to Everton for less than his value plus still pick up half his wages; he wasn't being risked in case DDG and Henderson got injured.

But as Tom Heaton has now signed and even if one of DDG/Henderson goes we are likely to sign someone else I would have expected him to play more u23/u21 games if he hadn't been loaned out
