However Mr Bryson was wrong there are bigger shite holes in the country, out of places I've been to recently I'd put Blackpool, Middlesborough, Sunderland, Luton, Southend, Wigan and Gillingham below Bradford. I'd have also put Hull and Salford well below but both have have extensive regeneration in recent years.

Now for the football and main part, our historical position is 11th in League 1, so to a degree you are correct. However that is still above Wigan who have spent a fair amount of time above us in recent and had major success, and also Bournemouth who had never been in the top flight until a few year ago. So why settle for staying in the same crap leagues you always have when you can strive for better, and 20 year ago we proved it was possible as we did in the 80's. We were one game away from the second tier only 16 month ago, why would anyone with any ambition or anyone who actually supports the club be then content with clear regression because that's where we've spent most of our history?

Managed to watch a recording of Saturday's EFL show.

I have always liked Ainsworth, and he came across very well in that show, and talked a lot of sense when talking about his managerial career at Wycombe and how he has plotted a gradual progress at Wycombe over the years on a very low budget.
Good manager who probably deserves a chance at a bigger club?
