Well done Lee. We've missed him these past few month, despite Andy Cook's contribution.

I have a feeling his contract will be extended for a further 12 months

 

I wouldn't bother, he's only played 15 times in the league.

Too injury prone.

 

Injury prone? Really?

This is the first season since 2014 that he's made less than 30 appearances in a season and even in that season he played in 25.

If your opinion is that you wouldn't offer him a contract then that's fine but you can't label him injury prone just because of one injury hit season.

 

I wonder if Jamie's dad told him about Puskas .

 

I do wonder where Novak would fit in, in the summer. if we keep him on donaldson would have to go without a doubt.

 

He's had a good injury record in his career but he's 32 now and just off the back of two long term injuries this season. He's at an age where injuries are probably more likely so its not something I'd be taking a gamble with especially as he's probably on a fair whack.

 

I think we might offer him a reduced contract with a addtional 'pay as you play' bonus - but we cannot afford to go into next season with players who are already crocked as we will no doubt pick up further injuries on the way

 

Is that a "pay as you play" based on not just being selected, because we've seen more than enough of those sort none performing performances this and previous seasons.

 

I'm not putting an argument forward either way as to a contract offer, I just thought the injury prone tag was ridiculous when looking back through his career, it looks like he's very rarely picked up any injuries.

 

With you Bronco, sorry I was just saying I think we might offer Lee a reduced payment contract with some sort of additions based on his fitness and number of appearances he might make - I think he just about deserves it but agree we have many non performing performers on our books!

 

I'm hoping OOC players across the board expect that Park. Especially one that remain in current divisions or even drop one.

 

I am hoping that we might finally get some reality throughout the whole of football and players wages become far mre realistic. won't hold my breath.
As for Novak , new 12 month deal from me. good striker at this level , given the right support.
