Ex pro David Prutton runs this programme and had 2 guests one of whom was Sam Saunders from Wycombe.
The other guy was a very tall individual but I didnt catch his name.It is safe to say was/is a pro who had good knowledge
of our situation as a club and mentioned Rahic and Grayson so clearly understood the background.
He was quite clear that our squad of players should be nowhere the bottom of this league.
He also said there is clearly a big problem in our changing rooms because they are not performing.
SAUNDERS made an interesting comment about when he played at VP earlier in the season all the energy
in the crowd disappeared when the y scored and did not return at any time later in the match.

We definitely know something is wrong in the changing room, it is there for all to see. Who knows we might have some stirrers in there!!

Go back to recruitment in the summer, not the right kind of character, we are now on our third manager since the summer.

Just think we do not have enough leaders in there Onside - besides having no decent headers of the ball, a lack of height, little pace and free kick taker who can find the back of the net.
Shows the recruitment for Mr I know football was carried out by a complete amateur.

    Have a read of this if you’re interested. If Gary bowyer is to be our new manager I can see why we will have gone for him. He ticks a lot of the boxes for what next season will shape up to be like. A budget and we will need to get signings right ;

Quite a long read but worth it I think

The dressing room and lack of togetherness in the squad was clearly evident pre Hopkin. You only had to watch how the players celebrated the goals we did score, it was a like a group playing together for the first time. Zero bond between them.

I think Hopkin went some way to repairing that, since he identified immediately when he started. However at the same time I really believe the exiled players situation has hindered squad harmony.

Basically, the sooner this season ends the better in my case. Just hope we’re scraping into League One and not below!

Is this the reason hopkin kept people like wright away from the rest of the team. Is he bad for the group? (Yes I know the fact he is an awful footballer is also a big reason).

Wright Riley and Reeves may be unpopular with the fans due to poor performances and non appearances
but they may be popular characters within the squad. If Hopkins thought like the fans or was placating them,
then disharmony could be a reason for some of the poor performances.

Seems to be a bit of player power raising it's head lately.

Agree, I did wonder about this myself. The segregation was worrying, probably because they were moaning and it probably was affecting team morale.

I believe a poster on here stated that Phil Parkinson had said Wright was big trouble or have I imagined it? As for Riley it would appear he needs to take a long look at himself does he want to be billy big boots or knuckle down and become a footballer for City worth drawing the wages he is being paid. Hopkins said he was keeping players who bought into his approach, training and fitness regimes for some reason Wright and Riley did not. They are been paid good wages so what makes them think that they are different from the rest of the squad.

It was I @Briggus@Briggus, a well known poster on here saw Phil Parkinson out and they had a short conversation about the closed season signings, to which Parky replied he was surprised we'd signed Wright as he was trouble.

We appear to have a few bad apples in the squad, and the worry is that these are our so called players, our best players are loans and those we have on short contracts.

All the more reason to bring in a complete a-hole in Evans and Rayner! Whichever jellyfish isn't out of contract in the summer should be bullied out of the club! This sh!t has to come to a head and get sorted - and it ain't going to happen nicely.

I saw a tweet from what looked like one of Wright’s family basically in a not so subtle manner, slating Hopkin. Unless any of us have first hand evidence or media reports he or others are trouble, It’s only fair to judge on performances. For that, any of the above are guilty of very poor performances in a City short however to their defence, they definitely weren’t the only ones!

As for Reeves, this is one of the most bizarre situations I can remember for a City player. If he’s been injured you can question how much of an influence on the dressing room has he been, as he wouldn’t have really been in contact with them much?! He’s a bit of a scapegoat amongst fans for obvious reasons. I actually think it’s a shame as believed when he came there was a very decent player in him and at times, thought he was great. There has to be more than just an injury going on with him??!

There are more than Wright who are trouble, they are bad news, but Im not sure Hopkin help himself by not letting them train with the first team squad.
I know players can be like kids in this day and age and be able to dictate to the club what they do or don't do, but excluding them would only have a negative effect on some IMO but Ican see why he did it, it only takes one bad sheep to make the other sheep follow.
I'm not sure the likes of Patrick or Riley would have been the ringleader I've no doubt that would come from a senior player the likes of Wright.
You have to have sympathy with Hopkin these few players were here before he came, I believe the players Hopkin would have brought into the club would have been players with charector, a very similar situation with regards who Phil Parkinson brought to our club, Cadiss, O'Brein being two perfect examples.
With regards sicknote Reeves Ive not seen him at any training sesion Ive watched, I believe if as others have posted its a mental thing rather than a long term injury, surely to get the PFA involved and his agent something could have been sorted, does the clubs insurance cover these sort of situations ?.

There has to be something fishy going on with him. Like you I saw a good player in him and I’d question if he has really been injured for this long should he not be retiring?

It's a strange one with Reeves, he had a superb fitness record at Wimbledon, it would be impossible for him to play the number of games he did without playing through a few niggles.

The lack of news makes me think there is a deeper underlying problem, we have no idea what he is meant to be recovering from. If it is still the groin problem shouldn't he be going under the knife again as what he had done previously hasn't worked?

We have to hope for his sake he can get whatever the problem is sorted.
