Agree with your points, however, it was doomed when you consider the personnel appointed and as you say a lack of director of football type.
It’s the sort of thing you set up when you are an established Championship club with money to back it up. Brentford being a good example.

Sorry but you are going to have to explain this to me "HOWEVER. The above could change drastically, if the club is not run to the values we're used to"

Exactly what does that mean? What values? Underachievement, unsuccessful, shoestring budgets, on the verge of going out of business, small crowds, pitch like a paddy field? Because other than a dozen years in the last hundred (we dropped out of Division One in 1927 if memory serves) those are the things that Bradford City is usually associated with.

We are 5 games into a 46 game season and the sound of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth is becoming unbearable.

Sit down, calm down....jeez I wouldn't want any of the lot on here running the club it would be panic button every five minutes.

Do you include the local journalist, Gary Jones and Jamie Lawrence to the list of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth?

I started supporting in the 2nd round of that cup run in /59, think it was Rochdale, and been here ever since. I remember once parking my car outside the turnstiles of the old main stand and the bobby said he would keep an eye on it. Think the attendance that day was about 1600.
The present owners seem to have the policy of being a feeder club. If that’s the case then we aren’t going to be competing for promotion as the best players will quickly be moved on. You need passion and desire in a club and I don’t see that at any level . We had a passionate manager but as he was more popular than the owner, he had to go.
    Just saying.

    Probably.

It's a lot easier than having to actually consider the situation if you just say 'keep calm it will probably be fine'.

Putting your fingers in your ears and shutting your eyes is what people do in tough times, I wouldn't say these times were particularly traumatic, more frustrating and unnecessary, but it must be too much to bare.

I meant as long as the players on the pitch put in effort and play for the shirt, we tend to grit our teeth and still support the club, no matter what else is going on behind the scenes. Think about the cheering and the noise we made when 5-0 down at Wembley for example.

Yes I would. Old players do not, in the main, make objective observers.

I have seen some games that Jones played in that were absolutely awful.
