Last season, beating Bristol Rovers on 9th September, there were 19,284 in attendance with 395 from Bristol.

Today, we had 15,542 with 374 from Bristol.

Notwithstanding last season's match being on TV and at lunchtime, these games offer a pretty good like for like comparison. Taking out the Bristol Rovers fans, there were 3,347 fewer home supporters in the ground (a drop of 17.7%).

I know that the new pricing will have removed some of the apparently unused kids tickets, and we have the train strike which might deter a few on-the-day sales, but over 3,000 absent fans is a significant drop off.

The mentioned official attendance figures will be higher than the actual attendance figures as they include season tickets regardless of whether they attended or not.

There certainly will not have been anywhere near 15,542 there today.

But yes, there has been a noticeable fall in the amount attending, regardless of what official attendance figures have been given.

Is anyone really surprised many have turned their back on the club at the minute.

So, not only have we over 3,000 fewer fans on the official attendance figures, it appears we have an increasing (but unquantifiable) number of non-attendees within that group.

In my opinion until more fans come to their senses and start boycotting the club, we will .ever get our Bradford City back.( The once family club).

There is clearly a silent significant number of fans who are voting with their feet. The owners need to be really worried.

Fortunately in one sense, as well as the 'official' attendance, the club also records the actual attendance, ie bums on seats. That should be sending a strong message to the owners.

When I was on the SB a few years ago, I asked two different COOs if they'd consider publishing the data. I got short shrift on both occasions!

Sorry @Futchers tache@Futchers tache at the moment I'm not prepared to abandon my club even accepting what has gone on during the last 17/18 months or so, we have not been unlucky this is a man made disaster by someone who is blinkered with his vision of how our club should be run.
No matter how this season pans out there will be less fans taking advantage of cheap season tickets next season which in itself will have a detrimental effect on the ongoing running of Bradford City Football Club.
Let's hope some how we can get back to thinking of it as a family club, but I cant see it whilst we have such a divisive chairman.

I haven’t been to a game this season, (first season without a ST since the age of 4) and I drove past VP along canal road at around 3.30 and the majority of top tiers of Main stand, NW corner and Kop looked more empty than full.

Last season when I was in the ground there were easily 75% of those seats filled, at least. It was more like 35/40% today, which suggests a drop of 50% not 17%.

It’s only going to get worse under the stewardship of Rack & Ruin, and, god forbid we go down, we’ll be back to the 7,000 mark next season if not worse.

    Rahic & Rupp out NOW.

I would hazard a guess at somewhere between 11,000 to 12,000.

If the football is poor and the results are poor, people will find other things to do with their Saturdays.

Not surprised in the slightest, off field issues plus crap on the pitch will always see this regardless of club. What a shame, I just hope the owners were there today and had a good look around, then remembered back to Port Vale, their first game in charge.

Set off late from Bingley today. No traffic at Saltaire and no problem packing on Canal Rd. even then I had second thought and nearly went home. Football is supposed to be a release from the daily grind, but now it’s just grief. Spent much of the game bored & frustrated. 36 years of following City and never felt this low about the club. I really can’t be arsed anymore. Sunderland will rip us apart next Saturday.

Watched Edin sat alone, apart from his minder, in his box looking down on the disaster he has created. I hope his Saturday night curry gives him the shites & his new Lexus breaks down. Rupp needs to get rid of this clown while we still have a chance of survival.

That's fair enough Dave, everyone has an opinion. For me the fans who still go are only supporting the chairmen so it will stay the same. I just don't understand fans that go and then moan.
