For a third of what they have spent on the Odeon, they could have built not just a swimming pool, but a full size waterpark.

I like many was and still are looking forward to this building re opening. It is an amazingly beautiful building
The issue was and still is, who owns it and why it was allowed to run so over budget and time
If this was privately owned and funded. We would have been watching shows years ago and the city centre would have benefited from the visitors
City of culture 2025, a play that is part of the event , based on the railway children , running July to September is on at the Barbican in York you really could not make it up

Saltaire Blonde, Taylor's Landlord, Moorhouses White Witch in that order for me but there are so many I could name, spoilt for choice these days.

It used to be called back scratching. Any idiot can do it, and then at election time ppl are lied to and told who to vote in. The public need to take much more interest in politics not party politics just how funds are distributed.

We seem to have gone off topic.

I’m keeping an eye on the Doncaster website ticket sales. Loads of tickets available in the home end. City have been given blocks in the corner and the blocks behind the goal are locked for sale.
Is there a chance they could give us a few more tickets nearer the game?

No chance are they giving us more tickets. That would defeat the whole object of limiting our allocation to the minimum they can give, as they are running scared of having a big away following for such a big game

I'll try for some in the home end, already got tickets for Chesterfield in the home end near our supporters. I'll just have to keep quiet if we score.

Tickets in Donny home end are a real struggle unless you have purchase history which is now stipulated as ‘purchase history before March’. Anyone on here have purchase history with Donny and would be happy to drop me a line so I can add to my Donny account friends and family (PM me)?

What they're concerned about is mass infiltration of Bradford fans in the home end on what's looking like a pivotal match for both teams which is them exercising sensible precaution. That's not to be confused with the completely separate issue of reducing the away allocation which quite simply is a crazy decision.

But surely by decreasing the away allocation, you increase the chance of those fans trying to gain access elsewhere in the stadium
It’s just petty on the part of Doncaster
I hope there are over 5000 empty seats, we beat them and they lose in the playoffs
I would hate Bradford City to do this and as far as I am aware we never have. In fact I remember our own fans being moved on many occasion to accommodate larger visiting numbers

Completely agree with everything you say there, but aside from the decision made on the away allocation it remains the responsibility of Doncaster Rovers to provide a safe and secure environment for all in attendance and by putting measures in place to prevent the purchase of tickets by City fans in the home end they can at least in part demonstrate their due diligence in achieving this. Now whether it proves to be successful time will only tell.

I know of at least four City fans in two pairs who have tickets in the home sections. I know others who are using their connections to try and get some.
If Doncaster are trying g to limit sales, to those who have purchased before March, then they run the risk of losing a significant number of their own occasional fans, who won't have a purchase history.

Of course , they are both linked , I repeat, a problem of their own making in its entirety . The reference to “ scared” in its context doesn’t need explanation.
