This idea that a successful manager on a bad run should be sacked after taking a club so far has little merit, especially as that manager had the formula in the first place to get you promoted. Like when i heard Sheffield Utd fans calling for Wilders head and that he'd lost the dressing room. What utter nonsense. Imagine if Burnley had sacked Dyche after their relegation from the premiership, chances are they'd never have gone back up.

Said it at the time, Town were absolutely stupid to hound Wagner out.
I understand the issues at the club were insurmountable, or whatever, but that to me says they had the wrong characters at the club.
He worked miracles for that club, much like Jagger did for us. It took us 11 years to find a suitable replacement for Jewell, and it could take Huddersfield just as long to replace Wagner.Rogered Tart, SelbyFan, NorthernMonkey and 1 other person like this. -

So nearly Charlie Vanarama, that would have deserved a trophy.

Walsh, Jacobs, O'B, Lawrence, Beagrie , Blake. Dreyer?
Can't think of many more who were already there but I think it was Jewell who brought in Wright, Moore, Mills, McCall, Whalley etc.Damo and Offcomedun like this. -

Would be immense, BUT they are a bogey team for us and we rarely beat them. I despise them with a passion, and would absolutely love to see them come down, hopefully though it will be by dropping into the bottom three on the last day of the season to magnify the hurt for their arrogant fans.
I've said this before, over the years I've known hundreds of Leeds fans, and almost all of them are decent folk who only support Leeds because they were born there. I've only known three or four of the Dirty Dogs and everyone of them have been walking tosspots with a massive superiority complex, usually based on them having won three trophies in the 1920s.
They are a horrible, horrible club who I wish nothing but ill on.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...FrenchBantam likes this. -

From my ITK friends at the Gayfarm Wagner left because of issues surrounding one of his daughters and Van la Parra.
However, saying he wanted a new challenge is an easier option than the truth. -
Talking of Wagner, he's apparently in the frame for the vacant Bournemouth job. I didn't realise but Schalke sacked him in September following an 18 match winless run.
I bet Bournemouth fans will be delighted if he rocks on up.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
