The mention of Blair , Bush , Cameron, Kennedy , whoever we want to name in the West is a smokescreen and cannot in any way compare with what this murdering nut job is up to in 2022.

Do not do Twitter , so don't know what this guy has said. What putin is doing in Ukraine is heartbreaking , the man and his kronies are absolute lunatics, who need removing from power from within. This will not happen, most Russians are frightened to say anything for fear of state reprisals.
All that said , this is a football forum and as long as he keeps his messages to football , then we should not be talking of baning him . Freedom of speach , within certain boundries , and human rights, is what we build our society on.
The fact he can not watch on i follow , is due to the actions of his own political leaders, and if he backs them. He can have no complaints. -
And most importantly it’s a profit making venture and its externally generated money coming into Russia that sanctions are actually meant to stop as that improves the Russian economy and sees the western world helping pay for Putins war machine. The fact it took so long and there wasn’t more outcry is actually disgusting because while the likes of Macdonalds were criticised when their business in Russian sources all its materials internally and sells to Russians so actually adds nothing to extra to the Russian economy, people still need to eat so they will now just spend the same money at a Russian chain, RT were/are still generating income from foreign sources yet there was hardly any complaints from the general publicStop hovering to collapse... It not about sides, it’s about decency to one’s fellow man, irrespective of their political views. -

Intervening is difficult if you are going to you have to, first of all, have people wanting intervention and in both Syria and Libya those revolting and many of the ethnic groups who were at risk were asking for international help. Syria were asking for help for a long time before we did, NATO and the UN refused to get involved military wise while Russia did to support Assad at taking out those who opposed them. It was only when things got worse, specifically when Assad started getting in bed with ISIS
You also need to have a viable leadership structure ready to step in otherwise you aren't helping. If we went into North Korea for example you don't have that, you would almost certainly just get another despot. Until the people start to show signs of wanting to change themselves there is only so much help the west can give.
There have been failures in the actions but its more after the fact. We keep doing the thing where we leave it in the hands of the country to work out what happens next and as an ideal government has all sides represented it can actually cause conflict, a conflict which other groups such as ISIS use to get a foothold which holds it back. Iraq for example showed promise early on, the squabbles and ISIS taking root actually hinder its prosperity and made life in Iraq less safe and it really only been in the last year that the shoots of a really prosperous Iraq have started to sprout. Libya is still a long way from that but it certainly could be because 80% of the oil money before was going into Gaddafi's pocket, if only we had done more to support them what came after Gaddafi was removed rather than let conflict between the sides create a place where its lawless in many areas and groups like ISIS were able to grab a foothold. Seeing as we often take so long to actually get drawn into it we really should have better plans for what comes next to make the transition smoother and more prosperous for the country
As for saying I have no respect for others' opinions, no it's just yours. Your view keeps changing, you refuse to accept there is a difference between INTENTIONALLY attacking civilians and accidental deaths and when you get called out you pull things like 'I didn't mean that' or 'it wasn't at you' before then going and repeating it. And you just go around calling people who don't agree with you racists as if that's some magic bullet for you to 'win' when the reality is it just makes you scum and undermines any valid points your arguments haveStop hovering to collapse... People are just too ignorant to acknowledge this embarrassingly hypocritical fact. -

If they did, there’d be far more than 800 civilian casualties which is the official number. -

Neither you or I know what’s real and what isn’t - that’s a fact.
Look, every civilian casualty is tragic, whether it be 8, 800 or 800,000.
What’s also tragic, is the almost universally acceptable persecution, discrimination and racism towards Russian people. To suggest Dmitry should be banned from here is equally as bad as suggesting someone ought to be banned from here because they’re black or brown.
If you wish to virtue signal your empathy towards Ukraine feel free to do so, but don’t persecute innocent folk while doing so. -

Some would argue Churchill was a war criminal for what the allies did to dresden, but when was the last time Britain entered a war as the aggressor or even started a war ?
Our role in warfare, at least land war, has pretty much always been as the attempted saviour. Even in Iraq.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
