    They were holes he created.

The sooner we get an owner that has some degree of vision and a plan for growing the club - or at least someone running the operational side of the club to that end, the sooner we can start to move forward as a club.

Rupp clearly has no interest in the footballing side of the club.

You don't think the couple of million paid by Sheff United and Swansea might just have done that?

I honestly don't think he's putting in any more than the bare minimum and if we somehow recieve any windfalls they'll be back off out of the club quicker than James Vaughan.

What do you mean by very good? The club going backwards has happened firstly under him being the major shareholder and then as full owner. Rupp apparently filling these financial holes is beneficial first and foremost to him, if he doesn't he loses out big time. He can't just walk away, there's no assets left to offset his losses. Let's not forget the McBurnie money more than offset the financial black holes.

Regression. Poor team. No communication. Mcburnie.

The club will go nowhere under him.

    Rupp out.

I'm sure Rupp has indeed filled some of the large financial holes at VP ... with some of the nearly £3m received from the McBurnie sell-ons.

That's a bit extreme to be fair, especially considering a fair amount of them have played 2 more games and only a small return from those 2 games would increase the league position dramatically.

Not necessarily. If we had sold Toney as yet another striker we'd invested in, seen score goals, sold on for huge profit, then bought another promising striker to repeat the process, I think the fans would see it as good business.

Posh are almost in dreamland and it's not going to take much to push them over. At the moment their prize assets get sold to the Championship for big money. Premiership clubs don't want to risk a L1 striker. If Toney does well at Brentford a Prem club will sign him and Posh will get a percentage just as Exeter have done for Ollie Watkins (and as we did for McBurnie). If Posh get into the Championship then their striker investments could make them serious £15-20 million profits. They have a plan.

I was primarily referring to Ryan Sparks’ quotes and praise of Rupp in preseason about putting extra money into the club after the early curtailment of last season.

Peterborough are an ideal template for what we could/should be doing.

Holes Rahic created... but granted Rupp should have paid more attention.

Rhodes and Sparks appear to be running what you call the operational side at the moment.

Which way do you think they'll most likely escape? Up or down?

Rupp was at least jointly accountable. If you're running any business, you're accountable for its performance.

I have no confidence in either Rhodes or Sparks to run a thriving, growing club.

The principles still hold true. Ironically, I think its similar to what Rahic had in mind - but they do it properly. They invest in scouting, they target and pay the going rate for high potential attacking players, they have a clear playing style, and they have a reputation for both buying and selling well. To your earlier point - their fans aren't up in arms when players are sold because they negotiate well and get big fees, and they have a clear and trusted capability of finding the next big thing. I guarantee you now, they'll have a view of 5-10 promising young attacking players either on the fringes of PL teams, or playing in the lower leagues - they'll be scouted regularly, and they'll know everything they need to know about the contract status of those players, they'll be in regular contact with the agents of those players. They'll know well in advance who they're going to target when their latest shiny thing is being mooted for a big move.

Where do you expect to be this season? 1 point behind Everton?
