    That would guarantee their relegation.

12 points for admin and the expect 9 or 12 for their financial shenanigans

The club has been run like a circus in order to try get to the promised land of the Premier League.

They are fooling nobody by claiming that Covid 19 is the reason they have had to apply for administration.

Imagining losing between £1.2m- £1.5m per MONTH. So if they are claiming it is down to COVID they reckon their income has dropped by about £15m split between about 25 home matches so £600k a match

They lost £49m in the season before Covid, with a total of £96m in total for the 3 seasons before that.

The fact they blame Covid is an easy excuse and one that tries to clear them from any blame.

    Correct.
    Is COVID only in Derby?

They got away with the financial irregularities issue last year when Wednesday got deducted points and Derby didn’t.
Was always gonna catch up with them.

I wondered if they have been crafty and will obviously get relegated with a double points deduction this season rather than get points off last season and points off this season resulting in 2 relegations rather than just this seasons.

Should have been deducted 4 points last season and been relegated, Very unfair on the team that obeyed the rules and went down instead

I see they have been placed into Admin now officially and that 12 points have been deducted.

The way all this has been done and the timing is poor. Derby are now only on -2 points after the deduction, that's a massive mental help for the team rather than being cast of -12 from the start.

Mel Morris has overspent, and it's cost him alot of money in order to chase the Premier League Paycheque, it's failed and so it is on him.

I feel sorry for the supporters here, paying their hard earned cash to support the club yet those in charge can't even manage it properly.

Oldham and Southend are two other clubs that are in a perilous situation also.

Has it cost Mel Morris anything or was it all borrowed ?

There is talk it has cost him alot of money, however until we see what comes out in the admin we don't know if he is a secured creditor etc. The ground is now in his ownership as part of the dodgy deals.

I can't see Oldham turning this around. They are getting beat every week, and the 7-0 tonking midweek even be it at Brentford will do them no favours. I wouldn't put my faith in Keith Curle to turn it around and the owners are hated.

Rochdale being a local derby will want to stick the boot in this weekend and after that they have a good Harrogate team.

Just had a look and the reports are he has lost £200m but not sure if that includes what he paid for Pride Park, which he now owns separately to the club. They owe HMRC £20m but that will increase if they pay the players this month. The administrators need to find the cash to pay the players next week.

I didn't know that if a club coming out of administration doesn't pay at least 25% of debt to non football creditors they get another 15 point deduction, plus part of the deal allegedly agreed regarding their previous over spend is having to work to an agreed financial plan agreed with EFL. So the new owners will be paying over the odds for a club about to drop into L1 who don't own their own ground and have to work with one hand tied behind their back for two years. Glad I'm not the administrators

It all seems to be very similar to our experiences but on a grander scale.

Yep seems to be us but with current costing. Suppose we could say we were lucky to go bust so quickly so the debt didnt spiral more
