    Taken out of context it looks bad, but we don't know what was said that provoked the reaction of the ref. Refs are only human and some of the abuse they get from players is disgusting. It doesn't happen in other sports. There's a zero tolerance for abusing officials, but in football players seem able to scream and abuse refs for anything and most of the time it goes unpunished.

    Good on him I say , though I think he'll get into bother , would probably have escalated if he'd have backed away , got Windass a ban from car park in the past so guess he's not scared of a bit of controversy, he got the decision right in my opinion

    Had the situation been reversed and a player had squared up to the referee and 'locked heads' then that player would be looking at a very long ban. I don't expect this outcome to be any different.
