If we'd been able to hang on to Tyreik Wright on the left we'd be home and hosed in the auto spots by now. Such a shame, especially as he's not getting a game at Plymouth. I wonder if he now regrets moving in January?

 

I don’t think the club, MH, you, me or any else expected Wright to be sold by Villa to Argyle so quickly, ( That was a huge mistake for his development as it’s panning out?) leaving us no wriggle room for a decent replacement. We were left with a journeyman loanee who sadly has yet to prove he will make the grade at ANY level. Shit happens sadly?

We've only lost 3 games since he left and are in a better position in the league.
Not singling him out but to say he would have fired us to the autos is a bit OTT

 

Is he the next Jordan Pickford?

 

Some of these players need time on the pitch. I know the side can’t carry passengers but it’s difficult to find form and Consistency with a few minutes here and there. In the second half against Gillingham Nevers was starting to show what he could do then he took a knock which was unfortunate. But missing Chapman who was really coming into form was a real blow. I still think a fully fit Eisa is our best bet

 

It's surely got to be Osadebe on the left, looked lively and a threat when he's come on, can run with the ball, ungainly style causes problems for defences, extra height... added to that it's a big game and he has far more experience than the other two - no brainer for me

 

Eisa being fully fit is the problem. Don't think he has ever been fully fit in his entire spell here, even when he did play he never looked overly threatening. I'd be amazed if he gets a contract at a league club next season with his fitness record.

Pereira just looks a shell of the player we had last season. His parent club have moved so far past what his ceiling is as a player, he'll just bounce around lower league loan moves until he is released. Shame as there is a player in there somewhere, but christ knows what to do with that lad to unlock it on a consistent enough basis. He's 24 now too and has little tape to show for it. Nevers & Costelloe, who even knows with them. Both had less than 20 career league starts between them, far too early to tell what will happen but neither look ready. Seems to be the thing with the new PL youth thing of having a modern "forward", if they aren't an out and out striker, they want them to be able to cover all the front area. These two might be better in the summer deciding if they are wingers or strikers, work on that trade then work on the rest, right now us having two young lads who cover all areas whilst being poor in every position, doesn't help us out.

Honestly don't know what's the best route for the play offs. If we draw tonight and seal the play off spot, I'd be tempted to start Nevers, Costelloe and Periera behind Cook against Orient. Whichever of the 3 look the best, give them the play off start on the left, as it's just a much of a muchness. Maybe even Osadebe, even though he isn't a left winger, he cant do much worse.

 

Venus and Mars are alright tonight.

 

We have strength in numbers unfortunately they can't be relied upon to deliver hence my original post, dare Hughes start Nevers again, I would give Osadebe a start, I cant see what Nevers offers but Hughes has started him the last two games so who knows, I would be more than happy if Nevers starts and has an impact on tonight's game but I cant see it.

I don’t believe anyone is saying that whatsoever Vin, I certainly aren’t. I’m saying he’s a better wide outlet than anyone we have for the left of the three, especially as Chappy is out for the remainder . I can’t speak for others.

 

Is he fully fit? He’s had zero game time of merit.
