    Looked at them yesterday and held back,last part of the journey was by bus so held off.Glad i did need Andy to sort something from the Corn Dolly

    Travel via Nuneaton and you can avoid the rail replacement bus. Direct service from Nuneaton to Coventry Arena.

    Does the arena, station open match days now. I thought that's what the big hoo ha was all about. That they had built a station for the arena but the trains or station arent big enough to accommodate a crowd so dont operate match days

    Yes, it does open on matchdays and has done for some time. Trains are now, usually, double the size that they were initially. Even so, they would struggle to cope with very large usage, hence the service was quietly introduced a couple of years ago and is still not promoted, but it does run and I used it last time we played there, without any problems.

    In the near future the frequency will be doubled and new rolling stock may become available, which will substantially increase the capacity, hopefully in time for next season. Unfortunately, as things stand today, Coventry City will not be at the Ricoh next season.

    You could try https://whatpub.com/pubs/COV/1858/greyhound-inn-coventry-sutton-stop a ten minute drive from the Ricoh Stadium, or for the energetic a 30 minute walk.

    Opens at 11.00 a.m.

    Think that was the pub the Corn Dolly went to before the last game at Coventry, as you say steady walk along the canal side to the Ricoh
