Pritchard signs on a two year contract.

Bradford City are delighted to announce the signing of Harry Pritchard.

The 26-year-old, who can play left or right wing, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the club.

Pritchard has bagged more than 50 career goals and arrives following a spell with Sky Bet League One side Blackpool, where he previously played under City manager Gary Bowyer.

He joined the Tangerines after a six-season stay at non-league Maidenhead, where he claimed the players’ player and supporters’ player of the year awards on several occasions.

Pritchard, who will wear the No.7 shirt, said: “I am delighted to have got the deal done. I cannot wait to get going here - at such a fantastic club.

“As soon as I was made aware of the interest from Bradford, I wanted to get it all over the line as quickly as possible.

“Bradford is a massive club and I am proud to have signed.

“I pride myself on hard work. I like to get up and down the field, helping out with assists and scoring goals. That is what I want to bring.”

Bantams boss Bowyer added: “Harry is a great lad and a fantastic character.

“He had a good season, last year, playing over 40 games in what was his first full campaign in the EFL.

“He has a knack of creating chances and scoring goals. He is someone who is only going to continue to get better and better.

“Harry has a brilliant work ethic and will be a great addition to our squad.”

Pritchard’s signing is subject to the relevant EFL and FA clearances.

Please be able to cross, is it to much to ask from a winger!

Hopefully league 2 is more his level. He can't be worse than Scannell.

If he can cross then we can do worse than playing Wood on one wing and him on the other and just let them both hit them in all day.

Not a name I know but looking at his goal ratio in the national league he might have something at this level? Not one to get excited but we know how some of our big names went on last season.

It really is that simple with the strikers we have. The problem is GB and his tendency to over complicate things by constantly switching systems and tactics.

By the look of some videos of him on YouTube he can play a good ball in behind defenders. That’s all our attack should need.

We've gone from having two right wingers at the club to a ring winger and a left winger, people can say Pritchard is a down grade from Scannell on paper, but maybe Bowyer was thinking more about the balance of the midfield/team?

Think scannells best years r behind him. This lads younger apparently works his socks so if he take people on and get some decent crosses in he'll do for me. 6 goals in 40 appearances last season not a bad return for first season stepping up from non league.

The clip of him playing for Maidenhead (17/18? I think) on YouTube looks pretty good. Seems to have two good feet, stands defenders up and runs at them and takes them on. He looks to have a fair shot and looks to be able to get decent crosses into the six yard box. Should be the supply line Vaughan and Donaldson would dream about. Cant see what's not to like from the clip, and if he's 100% fot and gives it his all, then he's bound to be an upgrade on what's gone the other way to Blackpool. Good luck to the lad

Whilst I am sure Bowyer would have liked to have kept Scannell he is getting nearer to getting his own team together

Only have to look at the first goal against Oldham. Great ball in from Wood, just eluded Donaldson at near post but Vaughan pounced at the back post. Likewise Grimsby, great ball in from Gibson and Vaughan nods home from inside the box. Get as many in there as possible.
