    Anyone know of a good computer specialist/shop locally who can repair laptop problems, I have a start up issue after an update in windows 11, Thanks

    Thanks both of you, Live in Leeds but my son lives in Bradford so that might be an option, Fecking windows will not let the operating system load and just says stopcode every time and its my main computer for music/video production so important I get it sorted

    I've used this guy, Dean, a couple of times. Based near Salt Grammar School in lower Baildon. He works from his home so no expensive overheads and his prices are reasonable

    I would suggest that in relation to your question about being worth the hassle of upgrading. Seeing as it's locked him out......I would say the answer is "NO!"

    try get into the BIOS

    turn on the PC, and press the manufacturer's key to open the menus. Common keys used: Esc, Delete, F1, F2, F10, F11, or F12

    is there not a safe mode boot up option?

    I had the same issue with win11 - ever since it auto updated my laptop crashes when it goes to sleep and i need to shut the entire thing down 5 times a day at least to get wifi to work.

    Yes have tried booting in safe mode but does the same with a blue screen saying it cannot start due to windows problem and will try self repair and then saying it cannot repair with a small message saying windows stopcode

    update, contacted Microsoft help and they kindly rang me to help and try solve the problem, Result after 2 hours of trying everything he knew was he had no idea and would send the problem to the chiefs and ring back if they found an answer
