Commitment

Doesn't Sunday feel great after three points?

I thought about this a little bit yesterday, commitment. Just exactly what direction is the club going in and what does the future hold for us with everything that has happened this season? My train of thought was that currently Julian and coaching staff are only here as it stands until the end of the season and the only people offering any commitment is the fans with next years season tickets.

I'm not a fan of the need to be updated every time something small changes at the club but it would be nice to know what the futures of Stefan/Julian etc are, if not only to help with settling peoples mind when buying a season ticket. Bowyer is a great appointment for me but only till the end of the season offers no clarity for next season.

Edin has officially gone, it'd be a good time to to let people know what the plans are. Is Stefan planning to sell? If he his he should let people know, I think most Bradford fans would be sympathetic, he's possibly been a little bit naive but ultimately I think he's got himself involved in something that his heart isn't in.

Because I don't think it's right that the only people offering any commitment to the club is the fans.

 

I just think we're missing some sort of direction Bronco, we're expecting fans to commit which naturally we will but do you not agree it would be nice to have some clarity about which direction the ownership, the day to day running and the coaching staff?

 

Agree about concentrating on the league but with confirmation I reckon we all will be settled with what's happening and back the team to the hilt knowing what the future holds, I'm not just talking about Stefan but about the management team too.

 

It's not just ownership, it's the coaching staff etc everything is being done on a short term basis. Like I said I think fans will commit regardless but it may help the few to and throwing. Imagine a work place and you had no idea how long the leadership would remain in charge and they're only here because of a mistake.

Bang on CT, we're in the middle of a season ticket compaign and nobody really knows what the direction for the club is, quite an odd situation.

 

No doubt in my mind we have two different scenarios but for me even if we get relegated this appointment should have been a longer contract, we'll end up behind and then the vicious circle starts again of trying to catch up in Jan etc then the next season.

It'd be a good chance as I said above to give the people who are 50/50 some confidence as to what the clubs aims are, beyond avoiding relegation I have no idea.

 

I hope so How as I rate him from what he's done at other clubs but it's almost feeling like it's becoming the norm for us to deal with short contracts. I want us to build something.

 

I'm not sure if he has, but the owners of his clubs were absolute basket cases in the Venkys and Oystons and if they were rolling contracts I'm pretty it would of been down to the owners and not Bowyer. Just because this is what he's had under the past under ownership which I wouldn't want to repeat for me doesn't mean that we should follow suit.
