Sadly that’s the modern way ............. back in the good old days Cook would have only been dropped had his form and his goal scoring rate had dropped off but now it’s a completely different game a bleeding bizarre one at that ............... why oh why try and force the issue if players are in form then bleeding play them ......... and if Angol starts on Saturday then I would be fearful ............. he’s been fooking shocking during our first 5 games he needs to be out of the team ...........

I would agree. It was poor tonight, we are slow to move forward and I imagine easy to defend against.

First half we were all over the place, slightly better second half. Angol is not the same player and will have to be dropped, Oliver, it is not his style of play. I would have subbed them both at half time. I still think he needs to go shopping. We need pace, a winger and a striker.
Losing in injury time is not a good luck if you are planning for promotion.

it is early season, give it a couple more games then see where we are.

What was disappointing was how few Bradford City players could deal with their press and in-your-face defending. Shots being blocked is one thing, but players running straight into defenders is quite another...

All game long I think the only players who showed a genuine ability to beat/pass around a man were Smallwood, Crichlow, Banks (first half, ran out of steam in the second) and Cook right at the end. Chapman to some extent, but he hit and miss at best.

Everyone else struggled in possession and cost us the chance to launch flowing counter attacks.

Lots to learn from that, Halliday had his poorest game, and Angol was very poor. Not sure what happened to the powerhouse Vadaine Oliver that appeared in pre-season, since the season has started he's looked remarkably one-paced and average.

    On to the next one.

To be fair, not everyone will defend as well as Colchester did today; it's extra frustrating to lose to a team that are dog dirt in front of goal though.

Our best players currently are Cook, Young, Harratt and Banks.
They all need to start on Saturday.

This is harder to take than the Barrow defeat, all self inflicted

Young had a stinker, leave him out.

Cook, Harratt and Banks though, by all means start them with Chapman in attacking midfield.

Well Halliday certainly put in a superb cross for Cook against Hull. Non of our full backs are brilliant at getting forward and putting in good crosses on a regular basis. The wide players have not been much better and Angol is a complete waste out wide.
If Oliver's game is getting on the end of crosses , then he is wasted with us, although i do not by this crap , he can only play that way. We need a big game on Saturday . Cook and Harrott to start for me

Not a chance he dived at least 3 times in game

Including one where he got booked

We shouldn't have had to defend a free kick that late in the game, theres no need for Angol to make that challenge.

Well I am waiting to see Oliver have a good game. He seems to want players to lay it on a plate for him. If he has another type of game let’s see it.

He was clipped. In the PL that would have been a definite penalty.

I'm not sure I'd say they defended well, I'd say we didn't give them anywhere near enough to think about and too many of our opening games have been safe and sterile in approach

Biggest Issue of our team : Our defence. Hear me out on this one

Why the absaloute feck do our defenders wait for every opposition player to run back an get into position before they move forward

Your proffesional footballers for feck sake. Move forward with the fecking ball, use the bloody space. Stop fannying about outside our box

I thought this was a Songo problem. It isn’t. Our defence are wank with the ball, barring Crichlow an even he’s guilty of pissing about with the ball

Our Full backs are shit. We play with narrow wingers so we expect our full backs to push up an attack. Their both shite. Put Hendrie back in for next game, Halliday had a mare today
