Typical Bradford City. Nothing changes. This is an absolutely piss poor result. Thank the lord I haven't bought Blackburn tickets.

Good teams win matches late, Colchester aren't a good team though. Neither are we.

If he's played as a lone striker with runners in and around him, I think he's a threat. But playing him on the left doesn't work. And doing it when Oliver is up front is madness. Oliver looks poor, but he's clearly a target man. Why sign him to play as a lone striker in a team that doesn't have any directness about it?

A little dramatic. Poor outcome to the game and paid the price for a poor foul and poor defending from the free kick.

For me, there’s plenty in the squad to suggest we are considerably better than tonight but Hughes has got to find a way of quickly stepping it up a gear or three.

I think we're fine for 10s. Walker, Chapman, even Gillead or Banks. What we need is more pace and threat from wide and up top. And as a team we need more urgency and risk taking to our play.

Our passing is far too slow that’s for sure.

Think we are fine in the number 10 area. It’s Angel and Oliver that concern me.

Oliver was shocking and Angel proved a liability.

Well I have to say in the 96th minute I thought that was a good point. Quite entertaining for a 0-0, both teams were working hard and showing plenty of initiative. I also thought that both defences were holding firm - we had plenty of forward play but couldn’t break them down. Similarly for all their pressure, we were holding firm too.

But ultimately it was a stupid free kick to give away. I thought it was a great free kick out into the right area and unfortunately for us we had a not very tall Halliday marking a big central defender who just outjumped him.

The fact it was in the 97th minute was very annoying, but it doesn’t matter when it happens if you defend like that, you’ve got to stay switched on. We’ve only got ourselves to blame.

Our best players currently are Cook, Young, Harratt and Banks.
They all need to start on Saturday.

    Hughes lost us that game
He has got to stop been cautious and go for the win from minute one we have a team on paper to walk this League but the way he has us playing we only go for it in last 15 minutes
Let the shackles of Hughes and let the players play this is division 4 football not premier League

Eisa needs to get his shit together an get fit an stay fit. We need a winger who has pace to burn an can run at players an create an outlet for attack. One attacking winger is not enough

I understand where your coming from but the only game weve won is from individual brilliance that is it. Yes banks chapman and co are showing signs of promise but that doesnt get your promoted. Possession doesnt get you promoted, you have to win ugly sometimes a set piece works magic like it did for colchester today. Halliday was woeful so was angol when he came on, I forgot Oliver was even playing! We need cook back in the team with harratt next to him. Seriously underwhelmed so far this season dont let the Hull win cloud your judgement.

Hughes trying to make everything look pretty but forgetting its the score that ultimately matters at the end. Can’t see us up there this season unfortunately, I hope to god im wrong.

Their football fans, football fans are notorious for exuberance and often misguided enthusiasm for their team and its prospects, especially so at success starved clubs such as ours. I imagine at grounds up and down the country fans will have been making noise about promotion, its August, what are you expecting? No need to refer to them as idiots for that.

We were far better with Angol instead of Young which emphasises how poor Young was

Angol was poor last night but some of the comments on here are really weird.
We don’t play to Oliver’s strengths at all. There is only so much the player can do but there was absolutely no service and he is being doubled marked most of the time. People need a bit of perspective. We are 4 league games in with a brand new team.

Guilty as charged, I'm better after a good night's sleep but we don't need the likes of Angol (who was obviously still annoyed with regards the penalty claim) coming back to help the defence out and giving soft fouls away.

Sometimes you have to give the opposition credit. I thought Colchester used their aerial dominance really well and I was expecting their central players to fade because of the amount of ground they were having to cover but they really didn't. They were patient as well, waited for us to look long towards Oliver where the big lads at the back were on hand and their No.33 mopped most things up. They also went after Halliday with great effect in the second half with long balls. Hornby made a couple of decent saves from Platt & Harratt too.

Hughes was right in his assessment though that on another day we probably get something from the game. Lessons will be learnt from it. We missed Walker's composure in the final third because it was a bit frantic from Young, Chapman & Angol - some poor decision making on show from them. Banks was the one that was a constant threat all game and continues to impress.

You will get over it. Losing a football match is normality after 62 years of watching City.
