Due to Corvid-19 Colchester are having to release some players as they are trying to cut costs.. (some are academey players too)

Might sound a bit harsh given the current situation but does anyone know if these players are any decent?

    Edit:

The full list of players not being offered contracts for next season is as follows:

Luke Prosser, Frank Nouble, Ryan Jackson, Brandon Comley, Dean Ager, Callum Anderson, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Louis Dunne, Chandler Hallett, Tyrique Hyde, Luke Ige, Tariq Issa, Cameron James, Callum Jones, Percy Kiangebeni, Bailey Vose.

The interesting statement in the chairman's piece was "It is for that reason that I have had to take the very difficult decision of not re-signing a number of players that under normal circumstances I would have been determined to re-sign.". He later went on to say "I would have no hesitation in reversing the decision if there were to be a dramatic change of circumstances.".

First chairman to do this. Will he be the last? I think not.

I agree, especially sad when they are 5th. If they drop out (if the season continues) we will know why.

I can see most clubs having to do this while things are up in the air. No club can justify signing a player without knowing whats going on especially if they are in a position the league they will be in is up in the air.
