Yes, I'd agree. Can you imagine the wonderful dilemma if Devitt, Connelly, Pritchard, Donaldson were all fit.

Just spoke to Donaldson and its looking like late January before he's back. .

 

No he wasn’t he cracked his jaw at Crawley and wasn’t allowed to play as a precaution

 

I'd be amazed if that was the case. You only see those sort of clauses put in by premier league clubs for their youngsters. I'd imagine Brewster's loan at Swansea has a clause similar because they want him to get constant game time. But what would rotherham gain from such a clause for a player who's out of contract in the summer?

 

Another way of distorting the reality is Patrick has 2 goals in 8 since December 7th both against rock bottom Chorley. Amazing how words can be be used to suit your agenda.

Now in this case, I'm too guilty.

But I'll tell you something, not amiss to most, Patrick is genuinely (in my opinion) fecking hopeless and the fact you think he "deserves a chance now he has been scoring in the league below" , really is mind boggling.

We're 28 games into the season and the only thing we can say for certain on Tuesday night is Vaughan won't play. Remember when parky was here, you could pretty much nail down what the team/formation would be. I'm sure Bowyer just picks them out of a hat.

Really bad blow is that. Ten players out injured? Wow didn't think it was that many.

Yes, very clearly. I think I said on the thread about Donaldson that it wouldn't surprise me if that tackle kept him out this week. I wasn't expecting two months, which is extremely unfortunate, especially for a player whose general fitness is so good.

Only to add .......... Many appear to occur in training. Perhaps a 'true' fitness coach is needed by the club ?

 

Donaldson injury is a major loss. Be interesting to see if this will alter the way in which Vaughan plays his game as it sounded on the commentary yesterday he was doing a lot of the ‘Donaldson’ Style work.

That said, Bowyer brought Oteh in for these exact type of reasons so a chance for him to really show what he’s made of. Second to that we have McCartan who must be chomping at the bit to play.

Naturally if Donaldsons injury extends longer than two months it increases the question as to whether Doyle will return in January.

 

Would be nice to have a full injury update from the club. Clayton, Riley, Devit, Gibson all out, but don't know how long.

Whilst I agree that a specific update wouldn’t go amiss if you listen to the pre and post match press conferences then you quite often get updates there. The latest I have on the injuries are...

Riley - cruciate ligament. Ruled out for season but back jogging now and hoping to be back slightly earlier.

Devitt - hamstring. Back at city from Blackpool and back on the grass but not in full training yet.

Donaldson - toe. Given go ahead to step up recovery but not back in full training yet.

Gibson - calf. Back in full training and played in practice matches.

Akpan - groin. Back in training.
