    Preview

Paudie is still serving his ban for the sending off against Forest Green but Anthony O'Connor is back from his.

Hosannah could make his first league start after a decent showing midweek and new loan signing Samuels could also be included. Donaldson is carrying a knock but should be fit for the match but Ismail has a hamstring injury and will miss the next few matches.

Harrogate are likely to lineup in a 4-4-2. Jack Muldoon who has recovered from a knock is their dangerman. He has had 6 shots with 4 being on target (66.7%) and has scored 3 goals. Also, expect plenty of shots to come in from Aaron Martin who already attempted 16 shots. He has only found the target with 25% of those and only found the net twice

City won the previous league match 2-1 against Stevenage and put up a spirited performance against Wolves u21 in the EFL Trophy where they lost on penalties after a 1 all draw so they should be in reasonable spirits.

Last time out in the League Harrogate suffered their first loss of the campaign going down 2-1 to Bolton. They had a morale-boosting 3-0 win midweek to Leicester Citys u21.

City are on a 13 match unbeaten run at home in the league and have won 60% of their last 20 home matches. They have however only kept a clean sheet in 7 of those 20 and Harrogate have only failed to score in 4 of the last 20 league matches so the stats suggest City will concede.

Based on previous matches Harrogate will dominate possession and will look to control the game in Citys half. Harrogate have been susceptible to goals from set-pieces which could be an area that City can capitalise, although Citys weakness in the air could limit the effectiveness.

The first goal will also be important for City. They have scored first in 8 of the last 12 home wins while 6 of Harrogate's last 9 Away losses have come after conceding first

The bookies give the city a 42% chance of a win and a 26% chance of a draw.

The xG for City is 1.53 and the xGA is 0.97 while Harrogates xG is 0.85 and xGA is 0.41

With there being a 52% chance of both teams scoring but with a 57% chance of city scoring fewer than 1.5 goals the most likely result is either a 1 nill city win or a 1 all draw

I actually thought Harrogate had had a better start than that.

Their 4-0 demolition of the dreadful Southend must have stuck in my head.

I think we'll beat them. I don't think they're anywhere near as good as FGR, for example, and we were unlucky not to win that one. I think we're going to prove to be a difficult team to beat, and I don't see Harrogate ending a three game run without a league win tomorrow.

Having seen some bits of a couple of their games they actually play some really good football. Outside Muldoon they just aren’t clinical enough which has cost them

Quite so Simon. They are an 'in your face team' and from what I heard battered Bolton second half with no luck before going down 2-1.
Early goal will do much to knock them back.

I'd like to see Sutton play.

They like to press and we need to be getting amongst them and getting a tackle or two in. That midfield three (Cooke, Clarke, Watt) is a bit soft for me. Putting more numbers in there (3 versus 2) doesn't mean we'll just automatically stop them playing.

I've seen the "over 2.5" odds being lower than "less 2.5" recently due to the goalfests that have been happening each weekend. These days, you get decent odds for it being 0-0 (actually, bet365 give you your money back if it is, so it's a WIN WIN situation putting that bet on).

Just wanted to say I looked at this pre-March interview with their manager Simon Weaver.
Good interview, and he comes across as a really decent guy:

Nightingale hospital in Harrogate has been put on standby. Just getting this game on in time. What happens to football clubs/players in full lockdown areas?

Probably not with it being on SKY, that's how it usually works, season ticket holders qualify as part of purchase deal...

    Sutton for Cooke.
No way should Guthrie start ahead of Samuels, if he does SM needs sectioning.

    The bookies make Harrogate favourites.

A home League game against Harrogate, and we're the underdogs.

    Deary me.
