Disappointed with todays game and performance and even worse refereeing effort. We lost one of our new signings early to a nasty tackle and lost a player for three matches through I’ll discipline.
Doncaster got everybody behind the ball from the start and defended well but our passing was slow and deliberate and even in the last few moments of the match the keeper never once launched the ball from his hands.
What worries me about Hughes is he is very dogmatic it’s all about possession our play needs to be mixed up sometimes playing the channels and getting wide players to the line before crossing. And the passing needs to be quicker we are predictable.
I thought Sutton was the wrong choice to replace the unfortunate Osadebe

Definitely did not jump in with two feet, it wasn't that type of tackle. Both feet appeared to be on the ground. I'm reasonably certain it wasn't deliberate. You would probably need to freeze the action just before he contacts the ball and see where both his feet are. I'll admit I'm uncertain on it.

That's pretty much how I feel. I think it's one of those that are justifiable either way.

Here you go, pause it as many times as you want. I saw it in real time and nothing I've seen since has changed my mind, it was a clear a red card as you will ever see.

I've posted the same video on another forum. General View seems to be it wasn't a red. Probably 80/20. It's a neutral forum. Fans need to try harder to be objective.
    I've already answered it.

You haven't. Do you agree the follow through is two footed? Only a yes or no answer required.

It's a red card offence. Ravenhill was not in control of what he was doing. It was reckless and dangerous. What he intended, whether it was two footed or not is irrelevant. It was out of control and endangered his opponent recklessly.

Post 513. How can the follow through be two footed? He hasn't got 3 legs. It's not a two footed tackle. A two footed tackle is a very different action.

It was clear a red card as it possibly could be dangerous play

Again, completely down to interpretation. Being 'out of control' is not a binary judgement.

It’s dangerous play clearly hence the consequences

You make it sound like 'dangerous play' is black and white. It's almost like you could use a robot to determine it. Do you realise how vague that criteria is.

I've not asked you if it's a two footed tackle. I've asked you if the follow through is two footed.
You don't seem to want to answer the question for some reason!!

I’m really torn on the red card and I think that’s simply because of the severity of the injury which can only tell you that it’s too high.
Looking at it in real time it’s a good challenge and he wins the ball and I think that’s what the linesman will have seen in that split second.
Our lad is later into the tackle which means he’s been taken out by the overzealous follow through. I think at first glance it’s a yellow but if the ref had given himself a minute to see the leg and that it was broken then he would have realised the challenge was too high and given a red.
Poor performance for me today and still a couple of players not looking fully fit. Doncaster actually had the best chances to score imo.
This is pretty much a whole new team so will take time to click and teams will be coming to VP all season and playing the same way. It’s up to MH to counter that.

As I say how can it be otherwise he broke his leg in two pieces by diving clear and obvious dangerous play

I don't understand the question. How can you follow through with two feet? The trailing leg often comes through after the leading leg. I've never heard anyone use the term 'follow through with two feet' because it doesn't make sense.

So any tackle could potentially be dangerous. There have been loads of leg breaks that have been extremely unlucky.
