    Hi Guys

Random question, but need the knowledge of the group.

Q: Who is responsible at a football club to organise away travel for the first team, in particular overnight stays?

also Q 2: Who at Bradford City organises it.

    Many thanks

    CTID

Regardless of the level, it’s normally a Sports Agency; some clubs maintain it directly, however, they’re the exception.

Random question! Are you some sort of Travel Agent?.

I can't answer the first question because I don't know what other clubs do but I would imagine it is more in the hands of agencies the higher up the pyramid and more hands on lower down, the PL boys for example don't have to watch the pennies as much

In the case of your Q2, ever since my involvement in 2009 the arrangements have been handled in detail by Mark Harrison who is the current Club Secretary. I have no doubt he will discuss the contract side of things with Ryan, for example length of contract for coach travel. I don't think there has ever been a mindset of paying a third party a profit for something that can be done inhouse and Mark's efforts are reflected in the differing number of coach companies we have used over the period with changes made if costs escalated too much of the standards slipped.
As far as accommodation, I think Mark puts that out to the market for each game, based on the Club's specification and requirements.
    Hope that helps.
