    If you get into a car whilst under the influence of excess alcohol with the intention of driving it you qualify as a downright piece of shit and deserve to get the book thrown at you.

    They have these devices in cars in Canada that when you blow in it and you have excess levels of alcohol the car won't start.
    Should be compulsary here IMO.

    Aren't they only for people who have been done drink driving before? There's also ways people get around them... Getting their kids to blow into them for example. Bad people will find ways to do bad things - sadly.

    I can see how they would be advantageous to the morning after the night before drinker but anyone who has had a few drinks either at the pub or at home should at least have enough brain cells to know not to even get into the drivers side of a car.
