Cheick Diabate

Cheick Diabates deal is up at the end of the season too. If he does well, you never know he might be a permanent signing down the line.

 

The Diabate signing is one I can get behind. Dont know much about his qualities and he is young, but with enough experience as he has 50 appearences in L1.

Age 22 and has a far better resume than the current crop. On paper looks like a decent signing.

 

Apparently a good quick defender, not good on the ball and a bit injury prone. Should be good in L2.

 

Cheick Diabate, sounds like a health warning to me, good luck to him though if he does finish up with us.

I think that completes the Squad now unless they bring a back up keeper we are looking strong now the strongest in the league according to a Grimsby manager. We need to give it a real go now

 

Like that signing. Plenty of league 1 and 2 experience for his age and a good chance we can sign him permanently if he does well.
Assume that's us done unless we're set to lose a player.

 

Diabite in-did someone say he’s out of contract at the end of the season? If so if he’s decent hopefully we can keep or even make perm in Jan.

And if Young goes hopefully a signing of intent-someone decent for money

 

Happy with this one! The only thing that is a slight worry is Caldwell's comment "He did brilliantly in spells but has had injuries which have kept him out of the team." Let's hope he can stay injury free while he is here.

 

Cheick Diabate, happy with this one, much better option than the kid from Everton who's a similar age and barely played. Has a few good reviews from Exeter fans, but after the stick I got for sharing fan opinion on Bryne, I know people don't want to hear them so I won't share them.

I hope he knuckles down for his own sake. Unless he’s a nuclear physicist or a Panto character then he may struggle around the lower fringes on a not so generous income.

 

Is he a centre half or does he play down the sides

 

Cheick looks a decent signing. His issue is that he's injury prone (as are a lot of young defenders, probably because they are often still developing) but not a problem for us as he'll be cover.

In February 2022, he played alongside Stubbs, in arguably the best team we've seen turn up at our ground, (since we were relegated in 2019). If you remember, Exeter gave us the run around - if we were still playing we still wouldn't have scored!! It was a 1-0 massacre.
