Well if he wants to play in front of 9,000 people every week under an inexperienced manager instead of 15,000 and under Mark Hughes then that’s up to him.

 

Best of luck to him, won’t be easy to replace will keep an eye how he gets on as he seemed to struggle with Burton and would expect Lincoln will be in a similar boat to them at the time.

I’d honestly be a bit concerned if I were them, they’re using our strategy of picking off better players at failing clubs as we did with Scunthorpe, difference being we were in the same league. If we’d brought in two out of contract players from 14th in the league below I dread to think the reaction on here and there would be some merit for the worry.

 

My guess is he wants to try his hand at a higher level of football but there you go.

 

Yea I’m sure he’s well bothered. Increased wages and playing with better players against better opposition. I’m sure he’s gutted.

 

A move back to league 1, his hometown club and probably on higher wages. Hard to compete with that really. With Watt's Instagram post recently it wouldn't surprise me if he joined them as well

If that’s the case and I was an imp fan, I’m sure I’d be having kittens. Watt cant pass to Vernam any more than 20% of the time and POD can’t pass full stop. That’s my observation over a season ?

 

Let’s get it right before the bitterness sets in ............ the chance to play at a higher level on maybe more money and for his hometown club what would you do ??????
Maybe the nasty attmosphere had had a bearing aswell it’s all nicce and rosey now but that could change in an instance

 

Then Lincoln absolutely should've made the ol triple announcement. AKA an Ormandroyd, Mohan and Ward

The toxic atmosphere at VP before Hughes came most likely helped to make his decision, As others have said.. higher league, higher wages who can blame him. Good luck!

 

very odd indeed he needs locking up the chance to earn less money at a lower level fooks sake the worlds gone mad

 

That's a sore one. I'm just hoping the club don't think his replacement is already in the building because he's a big player to replace.
