    Passed away 3rd December 2020. Long term City fan (since 1967) and the reason I am a bantam. Her Uncle Maurice (Conroy) was a scout for City and helped bring several players to the club. Dave Fretwell was one of them.
    Maurice along with her Aunty Betty and Uncle Arthur got Carol started with City.

    RIP Carol xx.

    Back in the 90s Carol was seconded to work for a barrister in Leeds, this guy was a very good friend of Geoffrey Richmond. He knew Carol was a big City (not big in size, although she was quite tall). Carol was a bit down because City had a few bad results.
    This barrister told Carol to cheer up because he said 'don't worry Carol I promise you this, Geoffrey is very determined and will get your club into the Premier League ' And 2 years later....

    is this Barrister still at the Bar, any chance he knows anyone in a similar mould to Big Geoff.

    On a more relevant note, it is always sad when someone dies. Not easy at any time and just before Christmas.

    City's recent troubles has had me reminiscing quite a lot, especially about my first date with Carol. It was after our 1975/6 FA Cup at Rotherham, 3 nil with 2 goals from Gerry Ingram and 1 from Joe Cooke. Then an evening in the Chapel House, a good day that was.

    RIP Carol.

    I lost my dad early this year who is also the reason I support City - he started going when he was 12 which was also 1967. They have both seen so much!
