Sounds like in addition to all matches being shown live on Sky Sports/Sky Sports+ there will be other changes to the competition.
The minor change is that ITV have agreed a deal with Sky to show 9 games on free-to-air from the 25/26 season with:
    • 1 per round up to round 4
    • 2 quarter final ties
    • 1 semi final tie
    • the final
    • plus 1 extra match from either the 3rd or 4th round.
In addition they will show a semi final and the final for this coming season.

The bigger change is that the 3rd round is likely to be seeded and played across 2 midweeks. The issue comes for the teams in Europe with the expanded UEFA competitions. From next season there will be 10 UEFA fixture slots to fit in 8 games each in the Champions League and Europa League and 6 in the Conference League. The normal 3rd round slot would be w/c 23rd September but that will be a Europa League Fixture list that midweek so Man Utd and Spurs would be unable to play, the Champions League is the midweek before. Because of this the EFL will have to make sure a Champions League doesn't play a Europa League side or there would be nowhere to fit the match in.
It's not been confirmed if it will be seeded so teams in Europe don't face each other at all in the 3rd round or it will be just seeded so Man Utd/Spurs can't face Man City/Liverpool/Arsenal/Villa.
The other issue for the EFL is if Chelsea get to the 5th round as they will play in the Conference League w/c 16th December then the 5th round is due to be played, the week before is a Conference League game and the week after is Christmas.
I worry that it is only a matter of time before the Premier League sides pull out of the tournament or the EFL decide to call it a day. If that does happen it will be a massive blow to EFL clubs as it will cost the EFL a lot in TV revenue. If that does happen it will only widen the gap between the Premier League and EFL. I don't know what the make up is of the new deal but under the old deal they attributed more than 50% of Sky's rights to the Carabao Cup.

I would absolutely love it if the EPL teams pulled out of this as long as it replaced the jackmeoff cup.

I very much doubt we’ll even feature, unless it’s a cup tie with town or Leeds, and that’s still wishful thinking

Leeds, Wrexham and possibly Salford will have the majority of TV appearances

Nothing to worry about as we're usually out by the first round.

Let's hope Salford and Wrexham go out early then
